JANUARY 13, 2015— In an NBC News exclusive, Amal Clooney sits down with Cynthia McFadden for her first U.S. broadcast network interview. Clooney, a London-based international law and human rights attorney, is currently lobbying U.S. lawmakers for targeted sanctions on behalf of the former Maldives President who was sentenced to 13 years in prison on a terrorism charge.

The one-on-one conversation will air beginning Thursday, January 14 on “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt,” followed by much more Friday, January 15 on “TODAY.”

Clooney will also join Chuck Todd in studio for a second interview airing Sunday, January 17 on “Meet the Press.”

  6. I was totally guessing about the PR campaign before, so this confirms my hypothesis. I’m looking forward to watching this interview, even though I think that this PR campaign isn’t going to make a difference, politically. I do like how Amal is dressed here. Very elegant.

  7. Amal always looks beautiful and elegant and this dress seems perfect for her. It’s nice to see her at work. Can’t wait to see the interview tonight and tomorrow. Also the interview with Meet The Press on Sunday! Mr. Genser, Amal and the other gentleman traveling with them are in the states to meet with political lawmakers and to bring attention to their case in defending Mr. Nasheed and the situation in the Maldives. PR is a very important aspect of this visit.

  9. I have never liked black sheer hose with cream dresses that much. The only way I’ve seen it done that looks ok is if there is something black on top to balance it out. Still never my favorite look?
