I think Amal is definitely the most fascinating person in 2014!! Because most of us did not know about Amal when George started dating her in 2013 and saw this beautiful (not unusual for George) well educated and smart (unusual for George) woman with class and style, we were, well, fascinated and wanted to know more! Who is this woman that captivated the most eligible bachelor in Hollywood? Who is this woman that changed George Clooney’s decision about getting married again? This was Amal’s year to be known to the world. It reminds me of when Kate Middleton started dating Prince William and no one knew her either. She was beautiful, well educated, smart, classy and had style. When they became engaged and married, Kate was thrusted into the limelight and to everyone’s delight she handled the spotlight beautifully. I see many similarities with Amal and Kate.

u know what i do agree with on Kate point—we didn’t know of both these women before they were married to these men……and Kate isn’t ALSO known for HER accomplishments other than marrying a prince same thing with Amal—we never took interest in her for representing Assange or Tymoshenko but to describe as a some kind of virtue like “… Who is this woman that captivated the most eligible bachelor in Hollywood? Who is this woman that changed George Clooney’s decision about getting married again?…”looks to me there is something wrong our society and how we perceive if women are known and considered important and relevant because of the men in their lives u know like 19th-century London….u know when i see with Assange i have enormous respect for her but when i see her and George and the way the media cares about her only because of him i think she that feel about her the same way i do

Cynicism? how come calling on the fact that we wouldn’t have known of Amal without Clooney is cynical…sweetie I maybe a cynic but I’m also not gullible that some PR team in some part of the world controls what I think about certain people in the world…..you call me a cynic I say its being a steely-eyed realist..something necessary for being u know a LAWYER….and its also STUPID to believe that Clooney fell in LOVE…a man who has went after YOUNGER AND HOTTER women (YOUNGER AND HOTTER than him) suddenly fell in love is ABSURD…this man was going professing his hatred for the PEOPLE MAGAZINE types and suddenly sold out his wedding to world….and i also think not publicizing your wedding makes it more special…u know because than u and your wife and your family and her family have something PERSONAL AND SPECIAL and its protected from the EYES of this world and you something worth cherishing…this man is working an angle for public office…he won’t get it but he is….which is not to say Amal doesn’t love him…she may…this man showcasing her like a public works project is disgusting

Do you know George Clooney personally and his true feelings? Do you know Amal and her true feelings? Of course not. Everything you think is pure speculation. You obviously don’t understand that some people do not ‘fall in love’ until they are ready or the right person comes along. Yes George Clooney has a very public career and life. That doesn’t matter. He can still have true love for someone. Look at Prince Rainier, he was a very well known, eligible bachelor in his day and he had relationships with women but it wasn’t until he met Grace Kelly that he fell in love and was ready to be married. Love has no rules. It just happens, sometimes when you least expect it.

Well, as we all know, Amal is great, classy and intelligent but this is a deal. Maybe she is in love but he was for sure looking for a “first lady”, he want to run for something in politics and as he is gay he needs a great and strong woman..no news… everyone knows it..
