Currently, It’s really important, to have people like her . Human rights are not in “good health” in many countries. If she can help to raise awareness of the importance of defending them.It’s a good news.

I agree that awareness needs to be raised and that this is a worthy cause. The current pandemic, I believe, also factors into human rights issues…I can’t help thinking about the refugees who are in the camps in Turkey and the island of Lesbos etc. Even prior to the pandemic, there was inadequate food, shelter, healthcare. What happens to these poor people when the virus makes its way there? These people need an advocate.

Nati, you do such a wonderful job and service for those interested in Amal. She is a consummate professional and woman. Smart, savvy, woman-friendly and knows how to appeal to men. She reminds me of a young Gloria Steinem, who powered her messages with glamour and feminimity while always advocating for equality.

Gloria Steinem was and is a consummate feminist/social activist. She had a substantial career in journalism and then moved into social activism. She earned her professional reputation on her own. She didn’t marry until she was 60 years old and has no children. Amal is a completely different case. I am guessing you are quite young to draw a comparison between these two women. Those of us of-an-age who know Ms. Steinem’s career well, would never consider them comparable.
