George and Amal Clooney were a chic couple at the premiere of Catch-22!

The couple hit the red carpet at the celebration of the series on Monday evening (May 13) at The Space Moderno Cinema in Rome, Italy.

They were also joined by George‘s co-stars Christopher Abbott, Giancarlo Giannini and Tessa Ferrer.

George stars in the show, based on the classic Joseph Heller novel, and directed a few of the episodes.

George and Amal Clooney arrived at Rome restaurant Antica Pesa following the actor’s Italian premiere of his new Hulu series, “Catch-22,” at Cinema Moderno on Monday, we’re told. The Clooneys were joined by the cast and crew of the highly anticipated series, including Christopher Abbot, Kyle Chandler, Harrison Osterfield and Jon Rudinitsky.

The president of Paramount, which produced the series, also joined the cast of “Catch-22,” which is based on Joseph Heller’s famed novel.

We’re told the group, who was “dressed elegantly,” enjoyed Chef Simone Panella’s tuna tartare, spaghetti cacio e pepe, swordfish, and a taste of tiramisu.

“[George] particularly enjoyed the cacio e pepe,” the insider said. “He said it was the best meal of the trip.”

George, who lives in Lake Como, Italy, was also overheard practicing his Italian throughout the evening.

George is a known fan of Antica Pesa, as he was spotted dining there last summer while filming in Rome.

The show will hit Hulu this Friday on May 17th.

  1. I don’t know much about Lebanese culture but aren’t her family members embarrassed with camera-preening, attention-whoring? It’s hard to watch her eye-fing the cameras with laser precision sonic detectors.

  2. Her hair and make-up look great. I don’t know what to think about this outfit. I am sure it looks better to see it in person. It really doesn’t photograph well. They best thing is they look happy.

  3. Amal in Rome !

    Exulting yet may bound,
And drink from all the living rills
    That gush on holy ground…”
