  1. I like everything about this outfit: the style, color and fit. It’s a nice retro look. The shoes are terrific-especially with this suit. This all looks great on Amal and she looks like she feels comfortable in it….Also, I really like her more subtle make-up.

  2. I love her engagement ring and she has every right to wear it as its a symbol of the commitment with her husband. However, there is a part of me that’s kind of glad that she didn’t wear it on this occasion as the subject matter of the case is very sensitive, and the beautiful ring can detract from the gravity of the message.

It really is such a contrast of how different her life is from her client’s and to me, I think it was respectful of Amal not to wear the ring on this occasion.

The contrast between her clients’ obvious sadness and quiet strength, along with her beauty and Amal’s is palpable.

Plenaries, conferences and seminars are different as they are less formal but in court and meetings such as this one, when she has to highlight very sensitive matters such as rape, it very respectful I think not to wear it.

It was a balance that was sensitively met.

    1. Yes, it seems so.. Nose looks streamlined, tip not so bulbous. She is more full-chested so could have gotten breast implants too. Or could be padded bra. 😉

  3. You know what? I like it when she is not wearing hair extensions when working. She is still beyond gorgeous and sophisticated without them and it shows everybody that they are not a must. It’s a good working look. I love the shoes which add a lighter accent to a serious and nice suit.

  4. I like her outfit and makeup here. Very appropriate. Honestly, I don’t even pay attention to what ring she wears. I doubt anyone else does, either, at these meetings. However, with business, especially of this sort, I think it’s best to have less “flash,” as it can sometimes distract from the message.

I will say that with the sheer amount of costume jewelry that women wear these days, most folks probably assume that “flashy” jewelry is fake (except in rare cases like Amal’s, because the story of the ring was publicized).

  5. Like everything about this look. Very business/professional appropriate, yet not boring. Agree with ditching the ring for these occasions, if that’s the reason for it’s absence. A simple band would be appropriate, though, and could help dispell unwanted speculation.
