  2. Love the jacket. She actually looks like a working women here. Seems she has been keeping a pretty low profile lately. Wonder if she thinks all the publicity over the past year or so is hurting her career.

      3. It is not a crime at all. It is just a question of common sense when you are talking about Human rights especially when it is regarding poor countries. I think all the bad press she is getting is exactly because she cannot draw the line between her love of expensive fashion and the type of legal cases she is taking on.

  17. I saw the full length coat and skater dress at the Dolce and Gabbana store over the holidays. It was absolutely gorgeous. Love this cropped version, too. Amal looks lovely in it.

  18. Amal looks lovely, as do the rest of the folks in the photos showing how they are lobbying in DC. However, Julia Pacetti – who pubished the photos via Twitter – works for JMP Verdant. Why does a PR firm have to be involved in a legal case? Is the approach here to use a PR campaign to publicize the activities of Nasheed’s legal team (under the assumption that their alleged popularity and the coverage will be sufficient to convince people that they are the “good guys,” like some team of super heroes) and thus win some kind of general support among Westerners or Western law makers for his release? Last I heard, money was the only thing that influenced US law makers enough to vote. LOTS of money.

  22. Agree. Love the jacket.You only live once and with such a flair for fashion she should enjoy wearing her clothes. With the exception of fur, she brightens my day with her creatively put together ensembles and I think the monetary expense is her business.
