After the Alessandra Rich romper, I found this jumpsuit by KAELEN. The sleeves are the sames. Amal has perhaps an altered version.

I have always been a proponent of the addage: if you don’t have anything nice to say then say nothing…. But man this is really hard and I will say it just on the off chance that someone who cares about Amal and knows her personally is reading this: Please please please do not turn into another LA bimbo. This hemline is bordering on indecent. Such a shame to waste your brain and beauty on such sordid display. I know the clothe does not make the monk but how are we to take you seriously if you go out like that even if it is for an evening out with your husband? Please consider the image it projects to all the young girls including your young impressionable niece: even if you are smart and beautiful and have achieved a lot in your life, do you really need to dress like a “lady of the night” to get people’s attention? Is that really the message you want to convey to those young girls?
This may or may not get posted. Either way it really doesn’t matter. I just had to get it off my chest.

nati – I think that young woman in Paule Ka is long gone. And I would like to discuss this with you. Yes she is so much more polished and always dressed to thrill – but strangely enough – to me she seems far less sophisticated and different than when she first came to public notice. She looks younger, but not in a good way. The simpering, seemingly shy glances, the hair tossing – it’s all a bit too cute and contrived – whilst she wasn’t the most incredible barrister on the planet as she was promoted to be – she does have a first class mind and education. No one should doubt she was a young woman with real potential to have an amazing legal career. NOw it seems she is paraded out for show at these trials – complete with designer wardrobe. My theory is that Maybe she is emotionally immature – and was trying to be the good girl for mummy and daddy. Maybe at 35 she was feeling the pressure of her culture of not being married. Maybe it was an infatuation and she was seduced by the promise of glamour and a much older famous man. She looks like she is slowly dumbing herself down. Hair extensions, veneers, nose job, make up artist on speed dial, countless outfits that she doesn’t even choose herself – those pap walks in New York – don’t tell me they we not calling the press in advance to record every movement when they were in New York. DId Julia Roberts get papped to the same degree?? George does not seem to be travelling well since the Kardashian style wedding junket. He looks older, his last three movies have not done well. This marriage is diminishing them as individuals – not enhancing them. George Clooney was relatively private – now he seems to seek publicity. He contributes a book on rescued dogs – and bingo – that week he adopts one and it’s all over the internet. He has definitely lost his cool appeal and is starting to look desperate.
….I am probably reading this all wrong. But their lives seem to have become a bit of a gossip magazine soap opera –

To me what Amal is wearing looks like a long blouse. Does Amal think that she is still 15-years old or less? I think that when she was 15 or less, she did not wear so short an outfit! I know she loves to wear short, short dresses, but she forgets that she is a 37-years old woman, not a teenager! The model above is a girl; Amal is a woman (although, I think that Amal constantly gets confused about her age and status!)

Ginevra: The outfit that Amal is wearing is too short for everything (with the exception of walking in the beach!) That is my opinion and as such I posted it! We are all here giving our personal opinions on Amal’s fashion style. When Amal wears an outfit, she does so because she likes it, so when we discuss her style, we are discussing her tastes in clothes! It is funny that you mention the word arrogance in relation to my comment. You say that it seems to you that I am not European because I think that Amal’s romper is too short. It seems to me that you are the one showing an offensive attitude of arrogant superiority! You seem to think that Europeans are better, smarter and more fashion conscious than non-Europeans. If that is not being arrogant, I do not know what is! When I don’t like something that Amal is wearing, and I say so in this blog, it does not mean that I hate, dislike or judge Amal; I am simply posting my personal opinion, not setting rules or law, just an opinion! I happen to like and admire Amal Clooney very much; I like many of the outfits she wears, but some, like this romper, I do not like. By the way, I was born in Barcelona, Spain, daughter of an English father and an Italian mother. This girl has a nice body, great legs and a possibility to wear shorts. I find these conservative comments truly offensive, but not towards Amal, but towards fashion itself. It is one thing to say I don t like it, and an other to insist that it is too short. Why? Because, who put a limit on how short can shorts be? You? No…i can accept that you don t like it, but these out of sleeve judgments, especially age related ( she is 37 and so she shouldn t wear it) are an expression of arrogance and not fasion discussion.

You know it’s fascinating to look back at your few few blog posts of her and to see how much polish has been brought to her look now. Amazing what hair extensions, teeth whitening/veneers, Botox and every designer at your beck and call/clothes being tailored to fit can do! I do think it would be hard to be in that celebrity world and not become insecure since it is all focused on an image of perfection. I do miss her quirkiness though and her fashion “fails” ….made her seem more human! Now she just comes across as a fashion robot to me and her style is so unaccessible. Before I could identify with her as a working woman earning a good income. But I don’t blame her for enjoying George’s money.

I’m sorry but romper or not, that outfit is way too short for any professional woman to be taken seriously. Amal, I really do like you so please don’t lose your credibility . Cindy Crawford can get away with these types of outfits because no one expects her to win a trial or be a human rights advocate . Please be wise in your choice of clothing. Once you lose the respect, it won’t come back, no matter who you’re married to.

It’s lovely seeing George with his arm around Amal’a shoulder. I am feeling very conservative when I say that I can’t quite understand why Amal would wear this. 8 think she should wear whatever she wants but I’m a bit well..shocked by this outfit! She has wonderful legs so good on her for showing them off but I just think this outfit is not right!

I was just in LA. It was cold enough that I had to wear a jacket at nights. How can Amal wear such skimpy clothing when it is cold outside? Even George is wearing a jacket or long-sleeved shirt. But, then again, it’s not surprising when she wears such short outfits, anymore. Anyway, I’d never wear this outfit – I am not the type of woman who wants to constantly worry about whether or not she’s accidentally exposing too much whenever she sits down. Seems a bit impractical to waste so much thought on that when there are other, more important things to think about.

Alrighto. Lets answer this before I start another -kiddos asleep-work on the pc-on a Sunday-to meet another expired deadline-kind of day. I am born in 1978, same year as my dear Amal, the year of the earth Horse. This was a very good year and if you take a look at the people born in that year, you will see that most of them are very likeable, high achievers. That being said, as I am the same age as Amal (although a few months younger ehm – every moment counts) I can say that if I had her legs, I would yes wear that dress even shorter if I could. She is on date with her husband! Have you noticed the trend for short dresses/shorts when she is out with hubs? Probably he likes her legs and she displays them for him. GOOD FOR HER! It so happens these paps are there take snaps so that they can make a very indecent buck may I say, and then it becomes a big deal. My God if I had paps after me, the headlines would read, she is depressed! How long since she has not washed her hair? She is neglecting herself for the sake of her children, etc. Because yes I LOVE FASHION I DO, not particularly Amal’s style, it is too high end for me, and if I were in that position of high exposure so to speak, I would 100% FOR SURE turn down big designed freebies and I would call out to small independent designers for a cause. I would do that if the system allowed me to, because you don’t know what clauses she has signed, what type of deals with them, etc. That being said, enough with the too old business. I know a lady, she is a yoga teacher God bless her, she is pushing 90. So what does that make me and Amal? 1/3 her age? Not even midlife. So can we wear a short skirt? Please YES! The woman is married and being attractive for her man. Nothing wrong with that. Bless you nati you keep an interesting and up to now, decent blog about this interesting lady. She’s wearing a different (and longer) dress than the blouses on the models. Her dress looks shorter than it is because it’s bunched up as she’s sitting With that said, I feel a little voyeuristic looking at these photos.

I agree with you, Annamarie. Frankly. It is none of our business what she wears when she is out on a “date” with her husband. Have you ever seen her without makeup, her hair a mess, and dressed”way down” like every other so-called celebrity? Just look at the expression on her face. If looks could kill, that photographer would be “gone.” Kudos to her on her recent legal accomplishments. They are a result of relentless hard work and impeccable instincts re strategy. ( I am an attorney in the U.S. and know firsthand how difficult her cases are.). This blog is always interesting. I am especially grateful for the comprehensive videos of her recent interviews. This is what I have been indirectly saying, trying to say, all along. Why, why, why? Why does she feel she needs others to dress her, do her hair, put on her make up…instead she has become sucked in to all these designers wanting to dress her and telling her how fab she looks in THEIR clothing whether she looks good in it or not. She is all over the place with style, clothing, make up, hair, it’s all a blur. It’s getting a bit raunchy. She’s looking like any other celebrity on a red carpet day. She might be book smart and courtroom smart…but I’m not so sure how smart, gullible, pretentious she might be to materialism & celebrity life. Just sayin’ !

Yeah, but Stacy Keibler is “tomboy fun”, extremely athletic….she wasn’t sucked into designers wardrobing (begging) her to wear their lines. She never dressed raunchy, nor did she strive for any pretentious haute couture $10,000 + outfits. Elizabetta & Stacy remained the same kind of people throughout the relationship. Both gals were very approachable and down-to-earth. George’s career has taken a serious nose dive. Good luck to him keeping up with Amal! I think she has upstaged him and then some. He’s in the shadows. While Amal’s letting herself get sucked in to the celebrity fame haute couture high end clothing world. Seriously? I thought she was WAAAAAAY smarter than that! Guess not!

True, Casual Observer, but she’s doing it to herself. No one is twisting her arm. She has allowed herself to get sucked in. A person with a strong mind, strong values, extreme confidence, would not allow themselves to get sucked in to it all.
