Let me clarify another thing: the length and cut of this dress make it appear as if Amal shopped in the little girls’ section of her local department store and bought something cut for a smaller individual. You can see it especially well in this photo here: https://amalalamuddinstyle.files.wordpress.com/2015/10/img_30261.jpg . Frankly, to me, she looks like a grown woman in a shrunken dress. What is up with designers these days? She’s a beautiful woman, but the dresses that she sometimes wears can be incredibly childish, often evoking high school cheerleading uniforms or dresses for little girls. I certainly wouldn’t be caught dead in some of her outfits – even for non-work-related social occasions – because they’d erode my professional credibility among my colleagues.

Yes, sadly, the hair touching and hair flicking and self grooming really needs to stop. And the coquettish eye lowering. I forget that she’s an educated woman when when I see her behave like that, as I just see another celebrity preening themselves. I have wondered if she gets nervous in public or if she is just very very vain. Could be both too I guess. Who knows.
You know what I’d really love to see? Some photos of Amal with her old friends – Jennifer Robinson for example, or the Asian girl that was at her hen’s night. It would be really nice to see some semblance of her tieing her old life with her new life as we all do when we marry.
Although granted, we don’t get to see her every day – only when she wants us to notice what she’s wearing! 😉

I love everything thing about this dress except the neckline. The fabric is great and the colour looks fantastic on her. Her makeup and hair are flawless. Love the shoes and the clutch. She looks stunning and so in love.

@Cindy: Why can’t you write that Amal is beautiful, classy, and stylish without comparing her to “all those royal princesses”? You are being very unfair! Most royal princesses have an unofficial dress code that they will only cross at their own risk (most will not!) Amal, on the other hand, can put on anything she wants. Unlike Amal, royal princesses cannot make deals with high end designers which will provide them with a constant flow of exquisite couture outfits, shoes, bags, etc. at no personal expense. Royal princesses have to walk a very fine line when it comes to what they spend on clothes; if not, they will have people loudly complaining that they are spending taxpayers’ money frivolously! Everyone’s situation is different. Amal is beautiful, stylish and bold in choosing what to wear! That is the truth and there is no need to compare her to anyone else!

She looks lovely as always – but this is a colour and dress style that only she could pull off.
I’m curious as to why George would behave the way he did and wipe his wife’s kiss off his face in such a dramatic manner. The kiss itself seemed out of context, very unnatural and staged and he just made it seem worse by acting that way afterwards. It was unbecoming of him.

Yes Nati! It seemed an awkward kiss – but I have no issue with celebrities contriving their romance and looking lovingly in each others’ eyes etc etc, on the red carpet as it’s expected of them – what I couldn’t understand is why on earth did he then proceed to wipe the kiss off so vigorously and turn and laugh about it with the bodyguard… Very ungentlemanly behavior. I can’t make sense of why a man would be that stupid and humiliate his wife when he knows all cameras are trained on him.

I believe the kiss was a natural reaction when you leave your hubby to go somewhere you kiss him and George wiped his face to make sure no lipstick on him. No need for analyzing it too much. Just my opinion.

Nati, i agree with Miranda, no need to place too much analises on it. Amal should not had marked him with her lipstick to start with, because he was going to be parading the press, but i guess she was being nervous and spontaneous…. George on his side, acted like most men do when plunked by super strong lipsticks, they will wipe it off. George strong reaction was more like to his own self, being a big of a joker… and knowing he was being watched… with lipstick o his face… i do not see him disgusted of it, just clean it for the camera and i think he felt that it was a strong lipstick… Amal should not had made mark on him, she could had avoided it. Even though i see more of an issue with her, i doubt they fkught over it when they went home. So i would not make too much a point on it, people on showbizz do that all the time for cameras. She is a novice to this environemtn and very obviously unconfortable and nervous in it. But no big deal!

For one of the few times, her look is understated. Usually, she wears outfits that scream for attention and appear as though she was the star. that lipstick was VERY strong!! she went full lip front on his cheek… we would had seen it on camera on interviews… that was nopt the purpose of the evening, to have him talk on camera about his wife lipstick. It was akward of her to do it.. but i doubt she thought of it, she looked very nervous. It felt she wanted to show her affection by just siding cheeck to cheek so she did with a red carpet amateru wife would do, plunk a full red lip on hewr husband hahah.. any hubby woyuld had done the same:) .. but i agree, lets move on, i bet they went home and made love all night and we are here making issue with it hahah

Maybe he doesn’t want lipstick on his goatee whilst on a premiere and the cameras zoom on close up? His actions may be construed as disgust but it could just be him making sure there are no traces of lipstick. I guess we’ll never know. Again, good work Nati. I don’t know, but that kiss looks staged to me. It is one thing when George & Amal are sitting next to each other in a restaurant, and they kiss, but here, they are at the entrance of a very crowded theater for the premiere of a movie. They are surrounded by people, with photographers flashing their cameras, and they kiss? We know they are in love; after all, that is the reason they got married! All that smooching in public is not necessary! It looks forced! Also, if I were Sandra Bullock I would be furious at George! It is the premiere of HER movie! Sandra is the leading lady and here come George & Amal sucking all the air out-of-the balloon! This is serious upstaging!

Agree with most comments about Amal’s beautiful look for the evening especially Psemsk. She continues to strike the right balance of appropriate design pieces for the occasion at hand.
Regarding the kiss. It was a quick sweet kiss as they were parting temporarily so George could go with the other actors and Grant to have group pictures taken. George may have wiped at his cheek to make sure he didn’t have lipstick on it (remember pics of him at Casamigos launch in Spain). If you haven’t noticed before George has a habit of stroking his face and chin. Now they he has a goatee it may be even more pronounced. George has other little habits that are on display in public. Pulling at his shirt cuffs, rubbing his hands together and picking at his fingers.

I like the outfit. As far as the kiss goes, I didn’t see anything awkward about it. He may have had to step away to do interviews or something. It seemed just like a “goodbye, I’ll see ya later, babe” peck. Nothing wrong with that. And he probably didn’t want lipstick on his face, I bet that’s why he wiped his mouth a few times. He was being photographed, so that explanation makes the most sense to me.

Amal looks very beautiful. It must be very difficult to behave completely naturally with so many eyes watching. I think the kiss was fine, if anyone else did it no one would bat an eye lid. I also think probably George was indeed wiping off lipstick in an exaggerated manner which is in keeping with his animated sense of humour. No big deal. Thanks Nati for running this wonderful blog for us. It is always nice and inspiring to look at beautiful things in a world that is often tragic and mundane.

Bravo on her makeup and hair at this event! I even love the dress, but –dare I say, I think it should be an inch or two longer. IMO, when she dresses in mini-dresses, wacky torn jeans & uber sexy pieces (e.g. see-thru gold micro-mini dress) –it cheapens her and is reminiscent of the many hangers-on starlets George paraded around not so long ago. Not crazy about the gold aluminum foil heels even though they’re Jimmy’s.

Agree with both Denise and Andree’s comments …her makeup hair dress shoes were all impeccable and she looked over the top happy…did any one of you notice at all few of the weird faces that George was making in some of these photos…that on top of the bizzare act when he kept repeatedly wiping off his mouth/chin…to me personally this type of body language/behavior shows a certain amont of insecurity and vulnerability not to mention the proof of him being totally oblivious or dare I say indifferent to the fact that all this was mean while being filmed/recorded to be broadcasted Later every where…so to me at least something is not making sense at all…or is it that he’s starting to fear her outshining outshadowing him…and perhaps so making him lose some of his overall showbusiness male alpha star confidence…I don’t even see that bad boy arrogant twinkle in his eyes anymore…
