  4. This outfit is perfect.
    Beautiful color and length.
    Pretty closed shoes.
    While I loved the green dress in the prior post, it was too short with her skinny legs.
    The shoes were awful, so high with thin straps, showing her awful (and probably painful) feet.
    She should please herself more with beautiful but sensible clothes.

    1. Completely agree. The fit makes it sexy but the length, high neck and 3/4 sleeves make it demure. Perfect for the occasion. I cringe at the 10k cost (i moonlight with drs without borders hence my hangup with money) but she looks sooo ladylike, classy and situation appropriate but sexy

  11. Amal was at the U.N yesterday . I love that she could probably sit down and just be a socialite but wants to work and make a difference. This is what a role model is not the kardashians and these reality star.

  15. I have to say… D&C realy rock on designing for women! What a great dress (feminite yet progessional) and how BEAUTIFUL Amal looks in it! A winer look in all counts… even the shoes choice i will close my critical eye on:)

    PS : I read somehwere Amal went to a UN important event with this dress… great choice!

  17. A question, Amal was at that UN meeting representing any country ????? I say this because the signs on the tables countries (Italy, France, ..) was read but her put his name and do not understand.
    Anyone know what his role in that meeting ??????

      In the past Amal Clooney worked in the Office of the Prosecutor at the UN Special Tribunal for Lebanon. In 2013 she was appointed to a number of United Nations commissions, including as adviser to Special Envoy Kofi Annan on Syria and as Counsel to the 2013 Drone Inquiry by UN human rights rapporteur Ben Emmerson QC into the use of drones in counter-terrorism operations. And currently she is part of the legal team defending Mohamed Nasheed, former President of the Maldives, in his ongoing arbitrary detention. On the same day the UN has declared that the imprisonment of former President Nasheed was arbitrary and illegal under international law. In the morning for first time the Palestinian flag has been raised at UN headquarters.

  19. Amal has big beautiful eyes, she does not need false eye lashes. She also has beautiful hair and does not need hair extensions. Amal has a very beautiful face and does not need the plaster of make up. Amal does not need to “enhance” anything. Please Be Yourself Amal, no need for fake additions of anything to make yourself “look better” when you’re already beautiful. I hope she doesn’t start being one of those celebrities who will start changing everything–teeth, nose, breasts in search of absolute perfection. I have a hunch that she just might. Time will tell.

    1. I echo your concerns. I like her better before she became a puppet to Anna Wintour. She was more authentic. She obviously looks more glamorous now but increasingly resemble “just another celebrity.” She’s a natural beauty and doesn’t need a ton of formulaic enhancements.

I am yet to be convinced that she uses hair extentions… it seems to me her hair is most the same, only done better some days than others…. i dont mind that she may put eye lashes for night outs, but i also love that she keeps her make up super minimalist for her work.. she definitelly keep those two worlds atire apart, i love that:) I would not like to see she dress the same to a night out or dress for a night out at work, so i see a good balance and her awarenss on it. I think she is very confident on her looks and little imperfections, she does not care if her bonions are showing or a bit of skin on knees… i think she knows so wel that she has so much more to offer and i guess George, and most smart men, loves that. That is why we see so often handosme amazing smart men married and in love with their not so gorgeous ladies.. because they value their inner beauty. That is what it seems and has been proved as fact. I think Amal is too mature now to loose her self into the frenzy. Or so i hope:)

  20. I like this outfit – very professional, although, in spite of the color, the dress does feel a bit too “little old lady” for me, with that high neckline, Peter Pan collar, and big buttons. I liked the red dress outfit that she wore in the Maldives even better, esp. the shoes. The dress she wore on that occasion was a bit more modern and minimal. I REALLY wish that she’d repeat those black woven leather peep-toe sandals (ID?), or similar, lower-height thicker-heeled shoes for professional occasions.

  21. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this dress on Amal. I hope she repeats this gorgeous, professional attire with black shoes and a different bag in the future. Not many people could wear the high rounded collar and cinched natural waist and still look astoundingly stunning,elegant, and professional all at the same time. Her beauty and thinness make this dress perfect for her.

  22. I think Amal knows what she likes and wears it. Her feet are no worse than others I have seen . As long as she can walk and is comfortable she should wear what pleases her. If her bunions become a problem I think she will have the surgery if needed.
