Hi Nati, I’m not sure if this is the best place to post this, but President el-Sisi of Egypt has pardoned Mohamed Fahmy and fellow journalist Baher Mohamed. Great news! There has been much discussion on this blog about Amal’s involvement in this case, and the possibility that she has decided to use her new high profile to publicize and raise public awareness of cases like this. One commenter called this approach “stunt barristering.” It seems to have worked for Fahmy.
