Everyone’s posts are appearing to be accurate. She has been removing herself away more & more from being down to earth, humanity conscience, and sincere. Some of those pictures are WHOA! And that dress is seriously skimpy & see through.

        Do you pay her bills?
        Are you married to George Clooney or anyone of his caliber?
        Were you invited to thew tequila party?
        Are you as happy on your life and living it out loud as she seems to living hers?

  5. Hot and sexy!!! But I am confused – she is a professional and well educated woman with a highly respectable and serious job – why does she need to repeatedly show her underwear? Hot and sexy definitely, but can also come across as desperate and tacky. You are beautiful Amal, but sometimes less is more – modesty and self respect are more endearing in an educated woman than taking the road of a flesh flaunting fashionista. Leave that sort of stuff for the lesser mortals like the Kardashians.

I feel bad that shes not able to wear a short skimpy dress without judgement but if you want to be seen as a serious professional this is not the way to go.       1. I tend to want to agree , but I’m giving Amal yeh benefit of the doubt here. She is celebrating a party for he launch of her husband’s tequila company. If she dresses like. Respectable lawyer among all these flashy empty Hollywood people he is friends with, she will give off the appraised that she’s a snob and a prude. I think she’s trying to give the appeal of hey, I can blend here and I can still have my day job.
        Also, the brightness from the flash phrography is probably what caused her bra an panties to show through her dress. This happened to me once at a wedding. I was horrified to see that my bra could be seen through my dress in one of the lightly lit pictures . I was mortified , but in hi way was this evident when I walked out of the house , otherwise , I would not have worn it. Let’s give her the benefit of the doubt too. I think she’s really struggling to be the perfect lawyer , perfect wife prefect everything in two worlds that are completely separate . She will learn her way eventually, well hopefully anyway…..

Mysreya, i agree about the flashes causing this… Amal is fine, we know she takes risks anyways… and i also feel like she did not know…. but the one i dont forgive is the “designer”…. he’she should had known better and advised his’her client. This dress is so poorly designed in my opinion, and the fact that it left Amal exposed this way makes me very desapointed with this so called designer… he’she needs to go bak to school to learn how to draw and cut a dress and choose the fabric well. Yes, it is shinny .. but just a rag shinning. If it wasn’t for Amal being so gorgeous, this dress would had embarrassed anyone.

  6. Sorry, but this dress looks simply vulgar. And so does the whole trip. An educated, smart, grown-up woman shouldn’t allow to be taken as a pin-up for a tequila brand. And how comes nobody checked whether her underwear shines through? With an army of entourage and nobody warning her! DM probably having champagne right now…
    Will Geoffrey Robertson ever feel embarrassed, or is this still great PR for Doughty Street? Perhaps I’m just naive and in the end anything that attracts attention is good PR – even for an attorney.

    1. To be quite honest, Doughty Street does not need any publicity from Ms Clooney. It is an excellent set, renowned for its claimant-based public law work. Solicitors will continue to instruct Chambers on the force of its members. The challenge Doughty Street has is financial – as a claimant-based Chambers their work is publically funded, and they are being hard hit by the legal aid cuts. They will no doubt wish to diversify their practice (or risk going the same way as Tooks). The lack of money in this area is likely to be the reason why a number of their star QCs and promising juniors left Doughty Street for Monckton last year. In other words, the people whose impressions actually matter to Doughty Street (those who instruct) will be solicitors, and their impression of the Chambers is informed by their experiences with the many excellent barristers at the set – not by the antics of Ms Clooney.

      What is of more concern is Amal’s own reputation as a barrister. Of course there are plenty of well-paid silks and juniors, usually at the commercial bar, who own yachts and use them! They do not do so in the public eye, nor do they spent more than half of their time doing so. Ultimately, Amal is a junior barrister who has made a promising start to her career but in no way does she have a ‘reputation’ which can withstand an impression – should it take hold – that she prefers to spend her time partying with a famous crowd. Amal is smart, and I am certain that she knows this. I suppose she has made a choice – she likes the lifestyle, and she would rather take a couple of high-profile cases a year where she does a small amount of junior-end work but is helpful in raising the profile of such good causes. Take the ‘hooded man’ case – she was asked for an ‘opinion’ (completely tokenistic, they already had opinions from QCs long before the case got to this stage), and she was then dropped within a few months whereupon a more experienced team took over. However, she did raise the profile of the case. If this is how she wishes to lead her professional life, that is her choice.

    2. At first I thought the dress looked great until I saw her underwear through it! Shocking for a class act like Amal! I don’t really know what to think of this parading around in her underwear. Not a good one.
      As for her reputation, I think it certainly doesn’t do her good but at the same time, other barristers who are very important and influential are able to go out to parties without anyone knowing about it because they are not married to a celebrity. If an unknown person would launch a tequila brand and the barrister wife/husband would come with, practically nobody would make such a fuss over it. Does it mean that Amal can’t support her husband anymore? She obviously didn’t care because she looked like she really enjoyed all of it. But it’s a fine line, I guess, when you want to be taken seriously. But at the moment it does seem like she likes the lifestyle better than her professional life. I suppose it is all very tempting for some people.

      1. Of course barristers go to parties… And very boisterous ones too! But it is a question of degree. If a barrister with an impeccable record and body of work does this, clients may not mind because they deliver the goods. Then again, clients may well mind because they do not want their business publicised (as Amal’s cases are often reported). The danger is simply that Amal will only be hired for publicity – because she married a famous actor and goes to such parties. It is difficult. On the other hand, it is very common for couples to keep their professional lives separate. One example is a colleague (and incidentally this individual is a colleague of Amal’s) whose wife works for a government department. His work often clashes with hers as he litigates against the government. To mix their professional lives would be to his detriment – and so they simply stay out of each other’s professional lives. Both have flourishing careers and a flourishing marriage.

      2. I understand what you’re saying. My conclusion is that she knows perfectly well what she’s doing, because she is smart and she had a very solid career before George. And she wouldn’t be doing anything that she didn’t want to do. It is perfectly possible to keep their professional lives seperate but clearly her priorities have shifted. If she wants that, then it’s good for her that she got it. It’s just that at this point she seems more of a show horse than a work horse, as we say in Dutch. An example of that being the hooded men case, in which her involvement was apparently pretty minor, which I somehow missed, but the publicity around it using her name was huge. How did you know this, ESR? An insider source? 🙂

I also find it rude of anyone who does not care to look at things first and wel and comment for the sake of insunuating cheap gossip, demands and complaints. If i was a negative person venting negativity i would agree with such poor behaviors. One thing is to be mean, and the other is to point out someones lack of good sense to even try to see the hundresd of pictures where George is looking at Amal. I really doubt the person who posted such comment really meant what she wrote… more likely a subtle way to play out negative insights.       My (not Ill intended) sarcastic remark to you did not mean to really assume you even wear glasses, i hope you did not feel ofended:) I guess you did not since you didn’t make any complaint back 🙂 It is just that i found your question hard to believe because there are lots of pictures of George looking at Amal, holding her in his arms, robbing his nose on hers and there were so many PDA pictures among them two, so your question did not seems sincere to me.

      So, i ask you : did you trully did not see such pictures my dear?

      If you did not, than perharps i should had been a bit more gentle on my sarcarm, and if it made you feel bad i sincerelly apologise:) There was no really meaness behind it…. i myself wear reading glasses and i look like a bug on them:) But you must also understand that, in this blog, there are some who are here, only and preciselly, to insinuate negs, to do cheap gossip, to bash unfairly… as per an example, someone posted that she/he could not imagine George and Amal being intimate, that they had no chemestry, no sign of love between them. Comments like such seems to come from those same sad D.M. commentators who have made a mission to “destroy” Amal for some suspitious reasosn that i don’t even care to find out.

  12. There are a few photos here I had not seen. The thing about the gold dress is that 99% of people wearing that would look totally trashy but somehow she kind of pulls it off. Her body is really amazing. Tough to compete with Cindy and she manages to hold her own…she looks like she is having fun for once!

    3. Agree with the comments that found Cindy’s dress more appropriate. Even in the pic of the 3 women Cindy had the real model pose (hand on hip while leaning into the picture. Amal is just kind of “in yur face”. This dress of hers has been worn before and it always screams “look at me’ Sad has she is very smart and was on a great track in he profession before George.

Look at the wife of George’s partner, she had that chettah, panter print dress, very over the top, and Cindy is overdressed because her dress is for an older women hahaha. She is a gorgeous and still very young, and young looking MODEL a nd she is dresseds up like the wife of the Mayer. But, she is still well dressed. Amals dress is just shinny, that is it, it is a very simple (and very poorly designed) dress, actually. I think they did it on purpose to bring attention to the event. Hey, it is a family business for all of the three couples. Now everybody is talking about it.

  18. She is a grown woman, who looks good and dresses appropriately at all times. This dress is from 2013 she wore it for new years in Cabo. As for Cindy she is nearly 50 and has lowered her hemlines but at Amals age her dresses were just as short and even more revealing. Like all men I’m sure George enjoys his wife looking sexy just because she is a lawyer doesn’t mean she can’t be sexy.
    Ibiza is the perfect place for this dress it was a party.

I agree with you AW, that shows how women are still battling repression… they still conformed into the old imposed mold where a woman must be formal in all moments of her life to be taken seriously professionally… so sad… and we are already bragguing that we have evolved. Seing such uptight ladies makes me think we still have a long way to go before we can really be rerspected by our brains and not by our bodies and looks. If we cannot place women in these different stages as Amal is trying (consciously or not) to demonstrate, than we are still into a bottle in our own heads.   20. I think she looks amazing!!!! The dress looks great on her. I never even noticed the white under garments until I read some of your posts. If she knew you could see her panties and bra, don’t you think she would of worn something else – use some common sense.

    Where is it that says a human rights lawyer who is smart and smok’n hot can’t look sexy. People. Stop applying your own values on her.

  21. Thank you Amal! I love her dress and I’ll tell you why! When I had my first job ages ago…I mean decades, one of the first things I purchased for myself was a $350 gold lame halter top that looks like this dress…only it tied in the back in two places..so was basically backless. I wore it twice…it is SO heavy. I loved it so much, and since it was my first expensive piece of clothing, I kept it. I’ve never worn it since. I know I’m old enough to be her mother, but I think for Xmas, i might get this out again and wear with a fancy jacket…don’t thing the backless thing will work anymore at my age.

    Cindy Crawford needs to ask for some help with her wardrobe if she’s going to be standing next to Amal.

  26. She was photographed in this dress before when she and George were not married yet. But she was sitting down and it was difficult to see the full pictures of the dress back then. Nice to see she’s actually repeating her outfits which makes her more relatable. But my oh my how could her friends/husband not tell her how transparent the dress is? Or at least wear a nude bra and underwear. Even black would have looked better than white! She looks otherwise absolutely stunning. Hair and makeup is perfection and the dress would be too but big fail.

I am sorry that these photogrphs show underthings. Don’t take the criticism to heart. We have all had clothing mishaps in our past.. I certainly have!   30. Amal looked beautiful. She has the perfect figure for this dress. She wore it in Cabo New Years Eve 2013. I don’t think she had any idea that her panties were showing through. There were so many photographers taking pictures with bright lights that would explain why you can see them. In lower level and natural light not an issue. It’s unfortunate. If she finds out about this hopefully she will be more careful in the future when wearing sheer fabrics. I was surprised myself that this dress could be that transparent.

    The dress shows a lot of leg. Not anymore than she showed the day after her wedding in the Valli. I don’t see anything inappropriate about her look and how she was enjoying herself. She is on her own time and not the “company’s” time. She didnt act like she was drunk. She didnt even show cleavage. She didnt do anything in the pictures but smile and look like she was having a good time. She and George look great together. You can tell how much they love each other. Loved the PDA between the two of them.

  33. A barrister only has a fiduciary relationship with their client. Since, Amal is not a client of Casamigos, nor does she represent a competing brand, she has no conflict of interest and thus can go to an opening without being deemed prejudicial.

    Moreover, she is attending in a personal capacity as a civil citizen and not a representative of the court. In addition, she is simply a wife who is supporting her husband’s endeavours. And in the context of the situation, promoting a tequila brand in Ibiza, she is within her rights to wear whatever party outfit she deems fit.

    I think educated clients can demarcate between the public and private persona of their advocate. And if they really have a problem with it, they will just hire someone else.

    1. That is the technical view, yes. But – as every lawyer knows – there are far more considerations to bear in mind than those merely technical. Only time will tell what Ms Clooney’s clients make of this, however the evidence thus far suggests she is doing very select work and in a very minor capacity.

Most of the time – and nati knows that, i am here bashing bullyng and cheap and free negativity, of course, to much of the dislike of the negative bashers, i am sure. I understand that often people who dislike negativity (such as myself) comes across as overwleming and unberable to the ones who love it.   38. – CORRECTED VERSION –

    So, anyone who can glue, sow pieces of fabric together can call themselves a designer and charge huge somes of money for it now? Amal is Amal, and her style choices we arealdy know are questionable, argumentative, and etc… so i want to address this to this “designer” and makeup “artist”:

    If you put on a piece of shinny fabric over your body, for sure you will shine. Amal will turn heads even if she wears a potatoe bag, she has that “je ne sais pas quoi” that the French know. Checked! Now, seriously i have a trouble with this dress. What is this design??? The cut, the protuberant part on the front., the shapeless unflaterig back, the tight cut under the armpit, and all else?? What the heck was this “designer” thinking when concepted this “dress”? For sure, not meant to dress a woman’s body 😦 It is so structure less, so insanly bad designed that i am certain a kindergarten student would pull off a better one on his art class.

    MAKEUP: i did not like when this makeup “artist” did Amal’s makeup for the Oscars, and i continue to dislike her stuff and application. Her foundation is too pancakeish-heavy, makes Amal (or anyone else, including herself) look older, and she does not particulary nails her appication and color choices for Amal. That is how i perceive it 😉

Nadia 2.0 i am not criticizing Amal, but if i needed to i would, as i have many times in the past, for her choice of fur and animal wear…. but i dont waste time in criticising too much her picks because i already know how much she loves to take risks, she does not gives a crap for what anyone else thinks…. however, here i am criticising the designer of this “dres”??? and the make up.   39. This dress is terrible and so unlike her. She obviously really loves it because this isn’t the first time we have seen her in it. I do feel really sorry for her because of the panty, bra and label showing through. I think it is safe to say she would be horrified.

  40. I have to believe that Amal had no clue how this dress would photograph. I do not think she would have intentionally worn something which would so clearly show her undergarments. If so, she would have likely have chosen something other than plain white! Reminiscent of young Diana prior to marriage holding child with sun behind her skirt, clearly showing her legs…. I imagine Amal will consider this issue in the future.

Your profession as a international human rights lawyer is very useful for the welfare of the world community. Get a grip and do not change! Socialite world will only make worse and admired by others. It could be that it is just the photographers flash that has made it see-through and that Amal was oblivious to it until she saw the photos … Crown Princess Victoria showed a white bra through a blouse on a recent visit to Korea (or somewhere) also, which I am positive wasn’t intentional. In real-life at the time it was probably not see-through. And at least she is wearing underwear 🙂

    Same label, my dress has a BLACK lining in the front, same as back. I follow Amal as we have similar taste in fashion. ( I would never be so brave as to cut out the lining)

Amal looks absolutely divine and on her smile I can see that she is a genuine woman, she’s adorable and wonderful, and it’s great how she manages to melt into the show business people, but with her own style, and her own personality, and hey, don’t be concerned, also a barrister can have fun and go to parties, don’t worry, why judging her for her clothes, I really don’t get that. This woman is absolutely adorable and I wish her all the best, may she and all sentient beings be happy, and may there be peace, may there be peace, may there be peace.
