  1. When you are tall and thin, with broad shoulders, strong colouring and striking good looks, you can pretty much pull off and wear anything. I can barely bring myself to say this outfit looks OK on Amal, and it doesn’t bear thinking about on anyone else, in my opinion.

  2. Ugly shoe like if it came from another world but “not high heels ” i admire that . I’m not a fan of this outfit and the colors make it worse . The only stunning thing in those pics is her hair , god bless her .

Is there someone else sees a bundle hair in the pictures?!

  3. Finally: clean chique, no bling-bling ….
Great shoes. Even though it is Stella – it could also be The Row or Victoria Beckham or
even Hermes. Fortunately flats – heels would have ruined the look! The bag: not my style – but then I don’t have to wear it. However, something soft and light would be better.
Now Amal, next steps are your hair and
Makeup. You do not need to always look
the same. Go ahead and surprise us.
As for clean and easygoing style: look at Rania from Jordan and Carla Bruni. And of course the eternal Carolyn Bessett.

    1. I agree! Carolyn Bessette was the epitome of clean, effortless beauty. IMO Amal and Carolyn share a unique type of beauty, a kind that doesn’t require distractions such as tons of makeup or excess jewelry. Love this chic and simple look – as for the accessories, she could have done so much better but like you said we don’t have to wear it 🙂

    2. I really dont like Caroline Bissete l style, prety boring to me and predictable, she made nothing new, but that is my opinion 🙂

    3. Carolyn Bessette Kennedy nailed it right. Classic in every way. She wasn’t all over the place with mixes & matches. Refined, owned her look, and stunning. Agree, 3 great women: Queen Rania, Carla Bruni, Carolyn Bessette. They owned and created their own look. They are never fitted with following a chaos of mix & match. They are always put together. No confusion. 🙂

  4. YES!! She looks like a healthy weight and size! The outfit itself is questionable but it definitely creates the visual of a fuller, healthy figure.

  5. I love this outfit. The colour is very pretty and the fabric looks as if it is soft and nice to wear. I’m a bit challenged by the shoes with it but the more I look at it the more I like the pairing. And they are flats! So much easier to negotiate airports in flat shies. The bag is very cool. Another lovely outfit that has Amal’s characteristic edginess.

  6. Not liking this outfit one bit. She should have matched the top with a fitted bottom or vice versa, and don’t get me started on the shoes and bag with that outfit ; also Big no nos. Sorry Amal, you usually get this right , so your only saving grace for this outfit will be if you’re pregnant and need to cover up a few bulges here and there …

  7. Nati, I m just being curious, did someone of Amal’s people ask you to stop publishing prices of the clothes she wear? I m askong because I ve noted that there are no more prices besides her dresses or other putfits

    Like

    1. Yes, Nati seems to have agreed with a certain crowd who believe that the prices detract from the discussion on the blog. A shame, as the blog has lost a host of interesting commentators – indeed, many of the commentators who have the very qualities which make Amal most interesting (critical thinking, reflection, and a penchant for debate).

      Like

      1. I disagree ESR… to shove the price on everyones face makes no better discussion at all. Only endeless resentful arguments. I dont miss those comentators at all! It is boring after a while to read the non- content with her spending, when we can’t do anything about it… and we all know, it may be indeed ethically wrong, but hey, it is her money. I dont care to see the price since i am not buying it anyways and if anyone else is, they can figure out the price pretty fast by searching it. To add all prices makes too much of a point on her spending folies and that is NOT the focus of this blog; to bash Amal for her spending. At least that is my understanding. So Nati, if you you read this, i am thankful that you have left some prices out and is not posting as much… great move.. prices are just arguments for the already resentful of Amal.

        Like

      2. Thank you ESR, and Maria, and Tomfoolery. I miss the spirited discussion, too. Nadia, I would suggest that you count to ten before posting. Really, Amal is a big girl and doesn’t require your constant, grating defensiveness.

        Like

      3. Nadia. Please stop. You’re making extremely invalid points and you’re making yourself look bad. If every blog stops posting certain parts just because it created negative comments or criticism, then they may as well be closed down. The whole point of a blog is to give as much information as possible and gain as much feedback as possible. Good and bad.

      4. Cin and janet: You sound like a bundle:)

I am very happy that my comments make you tick-tock. Positivenss often insults and make uneasy the ones who love to focus on the negative. I am not surprised that what i write makes no sense to you . Do not fear though, you are not alone on that, and because of that, i wil continue to be who i am and spread positivity wherever i go, to make a fair balance 🙂 After all, it can’t be all negative, right? Each give what they have:)

    2. I can understand why she would stop adding the prices, because people will go on and on about how expensive the clothes are. There would always be discussions about the prices so in my opinion it’s good that she stopped doing this. I don’t necessarily need to know but that’s just my opinion.
And ESR, nobody stops you from giving insightful opinions and starting a discussion. I’m sure people will jump in. 🙂 But at the same time, there is only so much you can say about a woman we rarely hear speak. We don’t know anything about her personal views or even sometimes professional views. When there is a limited amount of information about her, the only thing really you can discuss are her clothes and her possible “style icon” status and her marriage. When it comes to her job, we only know which cases she works on but there are never any details (about her work hours, her role in the team,…). So there is a lot of guessing.

      1. I don’t see any issue in people discussing the prices of designer garments. Having prices is informative, even if one is not intending to buy – I, for one, learned a great deal about designer pricing habits that I did not kno before. I have no intention of spending a ludicrous amount of money on the stuff, but it is interesting nonetheless. Besides, occasionally Amal wears high street clothing or Paule Ka, which are somewhat more affordable, and here it is helpful to have the prices.

As for interesting or insightful comments – it is the debate itself which interests, and hearing opinions on both sides. My own drivel is as tedious as anything Nadia has to say if there is little discussion.

As for what we do or do not know about Amal’s work – as I, and another informed commentator has mentioned – a vast amount of information is in the public domain of one cares to look. If you want to know how much a lawyer works simply look at their output. Unless Ms Clooney spends most of her time writing opinions, which I doubt, I would suggest there is very little output. This is not a criticism – it is an observation on a lifestyle choice which I am sure many people, in her position, would make.

      2. People didn’t just talk about how expensive clothes were – they talked about consumerism, celebrity, the fashion industry, fair wages, design value and a lot more. I think that’s valuable and that’s why I followed the blog. If I just wanted to know what she wore when, I could follow a million other news sites where the paps post their pictures.

And there’s tons of speculation of this blog about things we don’t ‘know’ about – like her marriage! So why not know more about Amal’s professional life – isn’t that why everyone praises her so much?

Anyway, that’s my two pence. ESR I hope you keep commenting, there are people here who find what you say very interesting indeed. Oh and I have finished my law degree now, and I have decided to go for the bar! Amal is still very inspirational to me, as a lawyer, that is, and not simply for her style.

      3. hahaha thanks for reading ME ESR! i just love spending my time in looking for positive things to say than to argue things for the sake of arguing, price of stuff in her case is pointless!! Talk about some else! If you are still offended with her spending, you may want to consider getting over it.. besides, i think it is terribly NON APPRECIATIVE of you to still demand Nati to do more than what she already does!! She does all this for free, makes nothing out of it.. so why dont you people, (ESR intented) dont help Nati to look for the prices that you want and find important, so she can work less on this blog for our entertainement? Looking for prices, IDs, pics articles, etc… takes an incredible amount of time! I dare not to ask her anything more.

Nati, do less, and i will be still very thankful and appreciative of your time and effort. Dont mind the ones who dont care how hard you work!

      4. @ESR Unfortunately, I prefer reading your version of drivel rather than Nadia’s edition (which makes no sense and is purely defensive in nature).

Nati, I hope that you would be fair and allow for both parts of the conversation. Nadia’s voice seems to overpower.

      5. TomFoolery, i am glad that i make you feel unconfortable, that means i still have a voice that is positively powerful and, in my case, i am not ashamed to say that, YES, indeed, i defend positiveness and i will never be ashamed of it and won’t ever feel intimidated by people who love to vent negativity. I am very sure that there are many people on this blog that can understand my reasoning, Nati included, and appreciate the fact that not everyone is negativity hungry. So, indeed, i just got very happy that my “edition” makes you tick-tock. I hope you can find something as positive to contribute as well:)

      2. I’m sorry, did not mean to be selfish . And I am happy to volunteer to help Nati find alternatives for everyone .

  8. Interesting! I do really like the black shoes, they would look great with her ripped jeans & black leather moto jacket. I also like the irregular & drapey outfit by Stella and also the color. This Stella outfit looks great with the 3rd./last model picture that features the sandal that is almost the same color. Great matching sandal! Interesting purse….I think it would look sharp with a solid black outfit to make the purse and also all the colors in it to pop. I like all the pieces independently. 🙂

  9. Amal must be jet setting to her next location. The outfit looks comfortable for travel. Loose, fluid, and comfortable. Comfortable platform brogues. Nice and cushiony. And all the luggage in tow. Perfect runway hair. (HaHa no pun intended). 🙂

  10. Very unflattering skirt and top with the clunky shoes. Those shoes would look great with distressed jeans like she’s worn in the past. The bag is cute.

  11. Hey guys! I’m a huge fan of this site and a huge fan of Amal 🙂 I love the clean simplicity of this outfit, however the shoes and the bag are a bit tragic. I totally get that Amal has a quirky sense of style that tends to come out in her accessories, but sometimes it’s just overkill and takes away from the chicness and sophistication of the clothes. A cute ballerina flat would have been a much softer touch and as for the bag – what was she thinking?? Lol

  12. Niceeeeeee. I like her outfit, shoes, luggage, but she looks annoyed perhaps as she leaves her house and all these paparazzi at the front steps every day …… Hmmmmm

  13. The bag is not my taste but I love her outfit and shoes. It is definitely what you don’t see on everybody and not everybody can wear it.

I love the shoes ! They are great with all kind of clothes and not only with destroyed jeans 🙂 and very comfortable !

Anyone interested in these shoes but for less than 70$ can leave me a message at atelierdelacolline@gmail.com
I will give you the tip 🙂

  14. Love, love, love both pieces… just not together. I think the skirt would look better with a white, black, or deep red or green tank . The shoes are awesome, and complement the outfit. Not sure the purse matches, but who cares.

  15. I found a ridicules article and the title was:” Let’s Look at Amal Clooney’s Haircut From Every Angle, Shall We? ” . I am shocked, they shouldn’t analyze Amal in this way. This is unfair and annoying “From every angle 👎🏻 ” i really love Amal but she is a human , it isn’t like if we have to choose either treat her as a super woman or awful woman , that’s it , no between . Usually it’s funny, but it is becoming worrying. The tax of falling in love with a famous person should not be dozens of articles that analyze every step and dozens of rumors and lies, even about her family. I know it’s happend and still happening to celebrities’ wives everywhere , but the ppl in entertainment industry should do something there is no entertainment in abuse … Mia – Amal’s niece – deleted her instgram account ( i found her account in a comment and the post was about Amal ) i feel so sad knowing that a Journalist could turn, the actions of a child, to an article easily.

    2. Speaking of her hair. Does she ever style it other than the long, blow-out, parted to the side? Ironically, for someone who is outrageous and “edgy” in her clothing choices she’s rather boring when it comes to her hair.

I believe it has to do with her ears.

      Like

      1. Plus, women can hide behind hair. Having short hair, it’s just your face and the world. No hiding of imperfections. But, then again, I think it’s interesting to be imperfect and be proud.

      2. she is not the kidn to be embaressed by ANY of her physical flaws… the contrary, she embraces who she is… she shows it, she does not care for your/our aproval/ If she did, she would hide her feet, but she does not, she leaves it to be and i love that about her. it seems she loves her hair down… most of celebrities that became icons had the same hair-due, search and you shall see.

      3. Hi, I totally agree about Amal’s hair – it is always the same plus she seems to have always the same makeup- especially the eyebrows. With her masses of hair she could do a thousand variations. My hair is really short and I still find ways to style it differently. Even if she doesn’t like her ears – there are still a number of styles she could try. Maybe she will surprise us sooner or later.

      4. @Nadia You are definitely a super-fan of Amal. We get it. You admire her style. We get it.

I’ve been lurking for a while and I’ve noticed that if “anything” slightly remotely critical of Amal is posted you pounce. You responded to every single non-glowing comment on this post with defensive posturing.

A balanced and reasonable commentary is fluid. Just because someone has an option that differs from yours about Amal, does not mean it’s evil or ill-intended. Please pause with the knee-jerk defensive responses. Not everyone has macabre and horrid intentions. Sometimes, a commentary is just that; a commentary.

  16. Come on people! You should know by now that Amal won’t conform to the “fashion rules” that we reffer to:) That ensemble right there could be framed as a “That is so Amal” and be placed on the fashion hall of fame wall:) I personally and completelly am loving it… the more i stare at it, the more i love it. I LOVE this outfit… the color, the fluidity… she is rocking it!! I would not had thought of adding those shoes with it, and that bag… but she did and i am really enjoying her boldness.

Love the choice for the leather jacket to match with the shoes, after a while it all makes sense and fits perfectly together, thanks to Amal! hahaha I dont think she makes any use of the “no more than 3 colors” rule… and i am becoming more and more glad!

Howerver, I would had LOVED to see her hair on a simple midle-head-pony-tail with this ensemble, to give it a less dressy feeling and be more casual, as she seems to have intended to make it to be. So for me, the hair due is the only turn off with this ensemble.

  17. I like this outfit on Amal very much. Color looks great with her skin tone. Hair looks flawless as usual. I agree with the posters who think the shoes would look better with jeans. Sandals would be great be since she has her luggage with her, I assume she doesn’t want to fly wearing sandals.

  18. Ok, i have to remove a few points from my last comment in which i praised Amal on her originality. I just noticed the picture where the model is wearing the same shoes with similar outfit…. in this case, there is no creativity in Amal’s part… indeed, she tends, sometimes, to copy-cat the model and wear things as sugested by the desiger…

…neverthelss she has boldness in her choises, but in the matching of these shoes with this outfit, we cannot really say the credit of boldness belongs to her… fair is fair 🙂
