Amal Clooney was spotted after a familiy dinner at Il Gatto Nero in Cernobbio. She wore a gorgeous silk dress by Valentino with gold earrings.

  5. Amal looked beautiful in that dress as much as we could see if it. The colour and fit looked gorgeous on her. As it is quite hot and humid where she is, the open panels of the dress would be very cooling. I just hope she didn’t wear those hideous “Gladiator” sandals with it as shown in the designer photos!

    Also it is reported that they have put the Los Cabos house for sale to spend more time in LA and London.

  11. I’m curious to know why the family is all in town maybe an event for tala and Nicholas? Tala was at Wimbledon the day or two before and wore the exact red dress ( lol in the same week oooohhh lol) I love this dress on Amal – NAT as always thank for your work but please please don’t stop posting prices it brings so much fun for us to see the prices too and daydream!!! I love this site wish it was updated more hehe

  13. I do not understand why someone (even if they are filthy rich) would pay these outrageous prices for clothes. They are only lining the pockets of these pretentious designers. They are beautiful clothes to be had in department stores.
    I would rather put that money to good use….like charities…doing some good for humanity/animals …instead of indulging myself and “designers” !!

    1. I agree Rose! Especially for the amount of times it is actually worn. $6,000 to wear this dress once (maybe twice?) seems silly. And yes, these designers cash in; cha-Ching! The truth is, Amal could wear anything inexpensive b/c she’s so pretty that “she makes the clothes, the clothes do not make her”. For example, the beautiful dress that Nati and Anna7 found/bought was only $60-$65. Not only is it fantastic, but a great price, too. Amal could easily wear that and each & every one of us would think she spent thousands on it. I agree, why endorse THEM?! Take the high road and create your own style.
      She’s wearing these “out of reach” high dollar outfits and movie stars don’t even dress this way every day. The average person can’t even relate to this type of spending! I hope Amal stops endorsing and stops launching their high dollar designs.

  14. HaHa Oh no….George has gone from his “winter look” of the black Casamigos tee to now his summer repeated white “bowling shirt” / “Barber shop” shirt. HaHa When we first saw him in the white shirt, I thought, “YaY, a new summer shirt for George “. And now we’re seeing him in it again…and again…
    and again. HaHa! Anyway, back to Amal! This dress is interesting….wonder what type of shoe she wore with this? (??) Wow! What a lifestyle to wear high end haute couture every single day for work, casual, dinner, lunch…big designers. The price tag keeps going up and up and…! Most of us wake up and decide what pants, what shirt, what shoe do I wear today. Amal wakes up and says, “do I wear Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, Stella McCartney, Giambattista Valli, or Chanel today?” Quite the lifestyle! Her profession appears like it’s taken a back seat for now. She must be on vacation for the summer.

    1. Indeed! She has definitely amassed (at least) a million-dollar wardrobe (of clothing/coats, shoes, handbags, totes, necklaces, earrings and more). Shopping and/or consulting with Ana Wintour, the designers and a stylist must consume a lot of her time. As you state: what a lifestyle…

  15. That’s a big bummer they’re selling the Los Cabos home! That was a special “joint” property that George shared with his good friends, Rande & Cindy Gerber. I would have guessed he would have kept it for that reason. At the same time, I think George wants to be good at being a husband & the married life, so it seems he’s happy to go with the flow and do all he can to work around Amal’s career, life, schedule. Selling the property in Los Cabos is pre-Amal , so he might be moving more toward building a life with stuff, things, property that they are buying together. The same with Lake Como….
    this was pre-Amal. London, NYC, LA….all seem to be areas they have bought/lived/spent time together.

  18. Personally, I love the dress and I bet she looked smashing in it. And thank you to at least one tabloid for pointing out that her sister looked ridiculous. Tala is beautiful but when it comes to fashion she’s a full on hot mess! No comparison to Amal who at least has an air of sophistication and humor even when she misses the mark.

      1. Right, I do too (1,66m/53kg) but so far, I have always chosen L and it was perfect. ( and it is easier to make adjustments when it is a little too big) 🙂

        I have also found the Valentino dress in this store, just by chance. You may have noticed that yours was no longer available…..:(

        But they only have size L in stock ( and it doesn’t show)

    Love your blog but inviting people to finance Chinese blatant designer copying of Valentino?? Will WE EVER look as good as her??
    On a positive note so glad you haven’t gone with the media scrum saying that Tala outshone her in the one-legged red pantsuit. Thank heavens – Tala’s out fit was hideous. Amal shone with style while her sister was garish – WHAT was she thinking? Only a waifish catwalk model could have carried off Tala’s outfit -just!
