  1. $10,000!!! Outfit to see a show? When she wore a $8,000 outfit that very morning. Again i try not to criticize another female but this is ostentatious and insensitive. That dress looks like something i bought at anthropologie for $100. How do u justify such extravagance?!?! Even if she can afford it, its so unsettling and pretentious. Ugh!

      1. With respect, Nati, owning a couple of properties in London will make someone ‘worth’ £2m. That doesn’t mean they can afford whatever they want, because that money is tied up. There’s no way Amal could afford this on her own salary – she needs George’s net worth to afford this (if indeed she is buying the stuff).

    1. I suspect that these outfits are not costing her one penny. I would imagine that designers are throwing clothes at her left, right, and center….just hoping that she will wear a piece or two. The publicity that they would gain from it is immeasurable. This blog is one example….plus almost every article about her mentions what designer she is wearing. She is the current ‘it’ girl. She is a walking billboard…as are most celebrities.

It’s win-win….the designers get publicity and she gets tons and tons of clothes (and she obviously is someone who likes fashion and clothes). She may want/be able to keep some of the clothes but some will be on loan….like the red carpet dresses. She probably does not want to keep all of it anyway as she likely doesn’t want/need to wear things twice…especially something like the coats….and plus, she will constantly have new fashions/designs/seasons to wear/choose from. Right now, she has a endless closet.

After this week, I suspect that her parents/sister will also get offers (if not already).

She probably spends less on clothes now then before she married GC 🙂

      1. She has earned the right to buy what she wants. She is an adult, after all. She looks great here and in the blue coat. These are classic and elegant choices. Plus, her mom is styled very well. Clearly, she has had positive role models to guide her. Notice how she has no embarrassing photos in her past,,,,all respectable and dignified. Hats off to her!

    1. Agree. Total mismatch. She’s part Northern part Southern Hemisphere in that outfit!

Though I LOVE LOVE LOVE that dress – I bought a similar one from Target 2 years ago for $69. I can’t tell the difference with the $4000 one…

      The shoes – no comment.

The clutch – LOVE it! I have 2 budgies the same colours!! They are my favourite bird!!!

  3. You are doing a very good job!!!! I am confused about the look though….the dress and the shoes are summer and the coat is winter…what season is it in New York? (I am writing from summery Greece)….as for the cost of the outfits…maybe they are pricy and not many can afford them….but you wouldn’t want to know what she is wearing if her clothes were from zara

      1. You are correct on that, but they are royalty, everybody wants to know everything and so they have to look like all normal people do in every day life (this doesn’t include the clothes they wear on benefits etc). And may I also remind you that when Princess D was alive, the Palace always complained about the money she spent on clothes and maybe that is like redemption….
Anyway, my comment was more of, if she always wore zara then nobody would notice her…
And my last comment is that she does indeed starting to look anorexic. I liked her better in the wedding photos. Check out her arms and collar bones and how much they are showing…her feet and toes look a little bit funny as well, mayby because of the high heels she is always wearing

    1. I would LOVE to see how she wears clothes from Zara to be perfectly honest. It would show a lot more style than picking designer pieces pretty much off the catwalk. I hate the shoes she is wearing here.

Nati – well done on all your hard work on this blog. I can’t believe you found that vintage coat, absolutely amazing.

      1. She already wore Zara and very well. She was educated by her mother and she always live with luxus clothes. She needs them to feel important. But I love her style. She matches very well the colors.

She made it look great but should do it more often.
It’s hard to reconcile George’s concern for the dying and suffering in Sudan with what Amal spends a day in clothes. At the end of the day – how much does fabric and shoes fulfill your presence?

Greece is in the Northern Hemisphere, and so is America – therefore, both are experiencing Spring presently.
We, Australians and New Zealanders, in the Southern Hemisphere, are in Autumn (or what the Americans call Fall).
Hope that clarifies your confusion about seasons in different countries.

      1. Hi Nati,
I’m intrigued by your comments –

        1. If her mother raised her to appreciate fine clothing, does that mean Amal has no choice now as an adult with regards to what brand to wear?

        2. What do you mean she needs them to feel important?

        Like

      2. She always lives in a luxus world and she appreciates beautiful and expensives clothes and things. Probably a part of her is insecure and she needs expensives clothes to feel better and perfect. It is not a bad comment, It is a reality.

    3. Nati, the last time she wore Zara was back before she was married. And it was hideous – it was that lace crop top which might be fine on a teenager but has no place on a woman in her mid-thirties, toned abs or not!

      1. Jane I agree with you
Prior to marrying Clooney she wore Ted Baker and Paule Ka, nothing near pricewise to what she wears now.
I agree with Nati that her insecurity (and in my opinion also hidden vanity) conditions her a lot to wear designer clothes but also to keep loosing weight. As you will see her new pics in denim bell bottoms, you will understand why I find her image too, too skinny ( almost anorexic).
And as Nati said, it is not being negative, just pointing out …

  5. I like the site and I like Amal, so I enjoy checking it out. I am glad that it is around, and that there is someone (i.e. you) willing to look these outfits up and create the blog entries. That said, I am not sure what you mean by you would appreciate receiving credit for your hard work. I believe that number of viewers and commenters are a praise in and of itself. I don`t think your viewers need to comment on how awesome of you it is that you are doing this and what a great job you are doing. I mean, you completely voluntarily started the blog, and it is not like it is a blog about how to build a cheap shelter for the homeless, either. You are looking for what brands are pieces of clothes some lady is wearing in her daily life. Like I said, I like the blog, and will follow it, but let`s put things in perspective here.

    1. Dunja, Nati is not intending that message to people like you or I (followers of her blog). That message is to other news sites that steal her ID’s without ever crediting her. The Daily Mail does this all the time – they suddenly ID clothes after Nati has done all the work, and never attribute her as the source. I am sure you’d agree that she deserves accreditation for that.

    2. Dunja, Nati is saying that for the other websites who often steal her IDs, images and do not credit her, like DM and others.

    3. I think Nati’s request for credit was to other media who use this blog for ID details, but never mention their source or provide a link. It’s a perfectly reasonable request, and one most people would recognise as a basic courtesy.

It’s not at all as you interpreted it. She’s not asking for praise, just an acknowledgment that this blog is their source when they make use of the IDs on here.

I purchased the Alberta Ferretti alternative that you posted as well as the Oscar de la Renta dress that Amal wore at Heathrow Airport and at her book launch somewhere last June, and the Camillo Bona dress she wore in Greece and they are all absolutely amazing and fit perfectly, but you have to look carefully at the sizing charts.

As for Amal’s outfit in this post, I love the coat; a great multi-seasonal classic. The dress, while very pretty and feminine, strikes me as a bit too “little girly” . I don’t think it flatters. There are other better choices out there for Amal. Especially since price is no object!

  12. Excellent investigative work! I’m always excited to see what Mrs Clooney will wear next. She has excellent taste, deep pockets and the face and body to wear couture. She could also wear a burlap sack and still look sensational. Do I detect a slight bump in that lace dress? Will an announcement of ‘a happy event’ be forthcoming? She wrote an excellent piece in The Guardian over the weekend about what’s happening in the Maldives. She’s not just a pretty face. Total girl crush.

  13. Amal has the right to wear what she likes how is it insensitive. Other than us on this blog no one cares what her clothes cost. She pays for them no one else does. There were poor people before Amal and there will always be poor people this is not her fault or any other wealthy persons fault nor is it their obligation to fix the problem.

  14. Nati, if i may input: i think your comment on “crediting your hard work on finding Id” may have been misunderstood by some visitors, like Dunja. I understand you because i have followed this blog a bit longer and i know of your frustration with other sites copying your material and not crediting you. But that did not come across clear on your mention on your post, for some, so maybe you want to address that so they dont think you are craving praise from us the commentators 🙂 You know how much we do appreciate the time and effort you put on this blog. I would never do that, not for free 😉 I encourage you to try to make some revenue with this blog, it is only your right for your hard work. I made this blog only for the pleasure, but when I see some websites like Starstyle, or fashion and gossip magzines stealing everything without a mention and making money ….The Huffington Post and the New York Times mentionned me and it was a beautiful surprise. Searching for IDs takes a lot of time … The Courrèges coat after my post, the DM has immediately updated his article and Starstyle the same with all my IDs ….And on Instagram it is a similar situation. A big hug and thank you for your great support. We are a beautiful community and it is the most important for me currently.

Now the dress. It’s very beautiful, but not the way she’s wearing it. This dress would look much better with some great flats and a cross body bag for a day look. She really reminds me of Jackie O. I wish I could afford that coat. It’s stunning. I especially love the gold buttons. And as usual her hair looks fantastic. Amal can not take a bad picture.

  16. I have to say that I like the way Amal’s father appears unaffected by the paps. He just ignores them. At their dinner the other night, he looked perplexed by the attention and non chalant. There was no preening, no flashing smiles, no aura of gaudiness – just a bloke going out for dinner with his fam.

It must’ve been tough living in a house with three materialistic, high maintenance AND intelligent women. Tough gig. Bet he lost every argument.

      1. I’m with Nati. The exhibitionism, showiness and flaunting is pathological. It indicates insecurity in who she and the need to be recognised and acknowledged. The psychological basis of it is the core belief “I’m not good enough” – it stems back to early parenting experiences in the formative years when her internal sense of self was developing.

The bubble of self aggrandisement and self-importance does combust eventually bce you can never hold back the internal feelings that keep creeping in. You will notice that Amal’s wardrobe will become more ostentatious and George will become more humble in his clothes choices with time – they will start to look more out of sync very soon.

I could write more about Amal’s internal dynamics – she fits a particular classic pattern – but I know Nati won’t publish it, as at this stage it’s all theory and conjecture.

Having said that Nati, I’m sure you will recall earlier posts by some of your readers who noticed the change in Amal before the rest of us did.

The classic pattern you are referring to….is it listed in the DSM-5? I won’t ask you what it is but, if it is listed there, I think I know what you are referring to. I guess I am also thinking that you have a background/knowledge in psychology.

    2. I am a well educated woman and come from a well off family, but still can’t afford these clothes…and I am the same age as Amal….She is lucky!(in a good way)…she has the opportunity to show off in beautiful clothes, probably not pay them (or at least not all of them) and noone can say anything. Let’s be honest, any woman in her “shoes” would do the exact same thing for as long as it lasts…Next year someone else is gonna be the new “it” girl so….Wish I had the same opportunity to run around in high-end clothes from the catwalk….this doesn’t take away anything from her personality, unless she ends up doing just that for the rest of her life.
And being the wife of George does has all the benefits…in clothes and in finances….I don’t think her salary was the same before George, cause let’s be honest…in her age and her profession, if you don’t own your own bussiness….you only get a salary…mayby a big one…but not 2million big!!!!and that I know it from personal experience…

I’m stunned at how expensive these outfits are and it’s getting a little staged and “photograph ready”. Yes, she can afford it, but gee, every time she is in public it’s $10,000 dollars an outfit! It started out at $3000 total and now were up to $10,000 an outfit. I’m sure this puzzles a lot of American George Clooney fans. He’s SO NOT pretentious. SO NOT haute couture. Yes, Amal is wealthy and smart, BUT so are a lot of Hollywood stars, it doesn’t mean they are going to wear 10,000 dollars worth of haute couture daily for the paparazzi. I like Amal, but I am confused why she comes across as pretentious, why she’s smiling or laughing when absolutely no one else around her is doing so, and why the constant hair toss-toss??!! She’s starting to come across as if to say, “Part the Red Sea…I’m coming through”!

Again a great job -well done!
Amal really has awful toes and if we are about style here – they spoil the look. Also – I don’t care how much money she is now worth – it is tacky to be spending this much money in a day when people are dying in Nepal and Africa.True style means making a $50 outfit look fabulous because you have the taste to mix it and wear it well.
The dress looks like a nightie. I wouldn’t wear it without slippers.
It is interesting that the recycled floral jump suit (Versace?) that she wore so well in London visiting Alexander McQueen with the perfect hair was worn so badly with the belt and awful shoes previously in Amsterdam.
I was a huge fan previously but she is now on a fame junket and losing her identity as a tearaway human rights lawyer.
After all that study and her achievements -it is so sad that she seems to place her human worth in the outfits George can pay for or that designers shower her with to wear.
Its a retrograde step for a modern woman.
I am wary of the message that she is sending out to young women.
After the clothes worn once are hanging in the cupboard and dated – bet she wished she had the best designed accessory there is for long term happiness – children – like Kate Middleton.
    KATE IS CLASS and STYLE.
    It’s not too late Amal.
Get back to the accomplished woman that you are and the go getter you were before George

    1. Sally, spot on. Love your insightful comments. One thing I disagree with – Amal can never be Kate – 2 reasons – Kate has a secure attachment with her mother and a secure sense of self (Pippa less so); and Amal has — Baria. Do not underestimate Baria’s need for fame and the insecure-anxious attachment between Baria and her daughters during the early years of the girls’ lives. Even the dad fits the classic pattern of the father being aloof and detached.

I appreciate your good job to produce this magnificent blog.I started following up Salma Hayek news recently since her visit to Lebanon and also her visit to Syrian Refugees camp and the continuous humanitarian work she is doing.Salma who’s husband is a Billionnaire (3rd richest in France)may be is wearing more expensive dresses than Amal.I would like to tell you that I never saw a price for any dress, bag or shoe she is wearing.Mentioning the price for every piece of dress that Amal is wearing ,specially in this troubled period worldwide ,will create jealous and hatred people. We all like Amal and George and we are proud of them.Any fan who is interested to know the price he can reach it easily online.Amal is free to wear what she likes and she was wearing luxury dresses ever before she started dating George. She is from wealthy family.
This is my personal opinion and at the end of the day it is your blog and your decision.
    Thanks

    1. Amal and Salma are sisters in style. The same designers from Stella McCartney to Alexander McQueen, Giambattista Valli, Gucci, Prada, etc. I will do a post about that in the next weeks.

  30. Nati, your detective work on identifying these garments continues to impress me. I love this ensemble, head to toe. Amal looks FANTASTIC.

  31. Nati: Are you a close personal friend of Amal Clooney? I ask because you seem to know intimate details about her. I do not mean about the clothes and accessories she wears, Anyone who is as obsessed as you are with this woman can find out that information. But, you propose to know her net worth; that she needs super expensive clothes to feel important (this is an odd one. She is a professional woman and has achieved a lot both in her career and her personal life, but in order to feel important, she needs to wear pricey designer duds?) Amal comes from a well-educated and well-off family, but they are not rich. She dressed well before George, but she only started dressing so extravagantly after she got together with Georgie boy! I think you are compulsively addicted to Amal. You should try to go outside and smell the roses a bit more, dear. It will do you a world of good, I assure you!

    1. No, I am not a close friend of Amal, but I follow her since 1.5 years now. She is 2 mios USD worth and her family is rich too. She needs expensive clothes to feel important. Yes, it is a reality and she is not the only one on this earth who needs designers clothes or accessoiries to feel important.

      1. phvdheide – I read that her mom was 66…but who knows?
She has her own website: http://bariaalamuddin.com/

I think her dad might be older as I *believe* he was married before….difficult to find any information on him at all.

      2. Oh dear Nati
Clothes don’t make one feel important.
        The heart and soul do.
Her net worth is not in dollars but in character and what she does with her husband’s wealth to make the world a better place.
Her brains are her best asset.
I repeat – she could send out a better message to young women than to be defined by over priced and not always nice designer clothes.
I do admire her greatly – for who she worked so hard to become – but not for this nouveau riche display of senseless consumerism.
Bring back the other Amal who didn’t have George’s wealth and had a tempered approach to fashion.
        Just a thought

    2. Diana – I have studied at both Oxford and Cambridge for many years and can tell you this much: you can be wealthy, educated, and have a great career, but that is not always sufficient to make one feel secure, fulfilled, or self-confident. That comes from within. The University of Oxford/Cambridge counselling services will tell you that they see a ridiculous number of students with insecurities despite having no obvious reason for them. Don’t be so hasty in misunderstanding the human condition.

We also live in an extremely exhibitionist and materialist world. It is not at all remarkable that any individual may need to consume to feel self-worth. I am not speculating on Amal, only questioning your fundamental assumption that someone educated does not need to buy clothes to feel fulfilled.

      1. ESR….sadly, I think you are right on the money. Many wildly successful people have no self-worth and/or are unhappy and look to outside means to make themselves feel better. Thanks for another very valid point.

  32. If I were Amal and could basically wear anything and designers are sending clothes, I would wear amazing outfits too. I think all of us would. I don’t think people should give her a hard time about her costly clothing. I think she is terrific!!

  33. Love the dress — the coat reminds me of a second hand sofa I got from my husband’s 70 year old uncle. Something more flowing would’ve looked better. Her shoes are too small, but apart from all that, she still looks better than 98% of the population.

  34. I am new to posting to this site, but have followed it since Day One! I am an attorney and very intrigued by Amal Clooney. I appreciate all the ID’s because they give me ideas, but I could never carry some of her bags, and have credibility with judges and my clients. It would be presumed I am gouging my clients to support my own lap of luxury. I am however, especially interested in the grey bag she is carrying with her navy suit. It is understated and professional. I appreciate any time and energy you must expend to share this information. It is so interesting to read all these conversations!

      1. I don’t want to be indiscreet Nati and I will understand if you don’t post my question which is certainly out of place on the blog, but are you French ?
‘Voilà’ is such a French filler ;), probably one of the most common 🙂

      2. Voila … je ne suis pas vraiment surprise! Nati, you don’t publish my comments anymore because I’m not idolizing Amal and I’m using my brain too – two major crimes on this blog??? My comments on Amal were not about liking or not liking HER (i.e. the person/human), it is more about SEEING HOW she LOOKS and describing my IMPRESSION of her, how she looked in this Courrèges coat and my thoughts about! I see the positive side of Amal, but also some negative aspects – outfits, demeanor etc. Besides, I’m not idolizing anyone, even not the people I love. Amal is obviously an intelligent and interesting woman, so this blog could be also intelligent, captivating and some thoughtful comments surely could be allowed? What do you think?

  35. Love her coat bag and this blog. Thank you so much for all the trouble you go looking up the clothes. Looking at the pictures with Tala and the parents I think Amal looks like her dad and Tala her mother.

Does anyone know where Tala’s coat is from the one described as laser cut tan trench?
