      1. Nati – did you post the picture of AC inside the restaurant? I didn’t see it but thought I may have overlooked it.

  1. I like this outfit better than the last one Amal wore. It’s much more sophisticated and elegant. Although, I don’t think I’ll ever like anything by Akong.

  2. Total Lebanese style and I love it. I wonder if she has extensions or her hair is that amazing and full? I am obsessed with her. She is bright, educated, carries herself with such class. George has succumbed to the Middle Eastern Woman spell- I love it! I need to know- since she was spotted with A. Wintour and Stella McCarthy, are they meeting with her to give her free clothes? Style tips? Start a line? What is going on here- Her clothes are spot on way too much I WANT TO RAID HER closet.!!

      1. her hair is sure beautiful but she has extensions there, if you compare her hair length from last look at the set, much shorter. No crime though:) extensions can be fun:)

      2. On your face, I am sure those are not extensions. I’m middle eastern too and people have accused me of the same , even asking if I’m wearing a wig! I think she now has stylists who know what to do to make her alrwady thick hair even more lush and gorgeous!

      3. Sorry to disappoint you but she wears extensions when her hair is longer. On her flowery movie set pics she had her normal hair length, still gorgeous, but even Nati herself has confirmed she does wears extensions. Ask Nati, she will confirm. Even though i dont know why since her normal hair is pretty long already. Look again at her pics while visiting George second time , much shorter:) She has the clip in /out type. The extensions just to make it longer, not fuller!

      4. Ladies, trust me on this one. those are not extensions. If you notice, her hair is curled on the bottom in the “visiting the sets ” photos. I also think she has curly hair natural and she straightens it , but she doesn’t have extensions.

      5. She already had hair extensions at the Golden Globes and fake lashes. It is not a crime, many stars have hair extensions currently and Amal too.

      6. I am so disappointed to know that Amal is wearing extensions. That shows that she is trying hard to look like Hollywood stars! She is a professional and smart woman and does not need to look fake like most of stars! That explains why in some of the pictures her hair looks unrealistically full and thick! I am also a middle eastern woman and have thick hair but Amal’s hair in some pictures looks really like barby dolls! Now I understand why in some pictures her hair looks normal while still beautiful and in some others such as the one with the GV black and yellow short dress her hair is unrealistically full and tick! Does she even have time to take care of her career? She is all about fashion and make up now! In any event, I wish her and George all the best!

      7. On come On!! Sisi and Masreya….what is the big deal!!??? Sisi, aren’t you exaggerating a LOT OF BIT?? Disappointed that she wears extensions?? What??? What is wrong with that??? Just a little beauty trick like any other, same as wearing lipstick…. you know what? i am not going to waste my time on this one…seriously?? I am disappointed that you can be disappointed on something like that!! What else??? makes me laugh …or cry…i am confused…

      8. I can see where Sisi is coming from – though I don’t care what Amal does with her hair extensions, it’s fun to watch her mix it up. I think Sisi is right in some respects though – I know numerous intelligent and beautiful women, who dress very well and are highly educated, but it seems their self care stops at a particular point because they simply do not have the time to invest in their appearance, due to competing demands in their time, and also because they don’t value it so much that they will invest time in it. Many professional women I know do not identify themselves by their appearance – that’s how they became respectable professionals. Again guys, you need to think about the common person and the restrictions they have in devoting time to self care and put Sisi’s comments in context – most people cannot access a beauty parlour daily as Amal can, cannot sit for an hour’s blow dry every 3 days, cannot apply make up that takes an hour to do, play dress ups in front of a mirror till they decide what to wear etc etc. Sisi is simply highlighting there is a point in her mind where it becomes excessive for a professional woman. She shouldn’t be belittled or mocked or responded to with histrionics because she holds that view. She is entitled to it and she expressed her views kindly and thoughtfully – I can’t say the response to Sisi was the same.

      9. Jon321, for me to spend any more time elaborating on this, i am sorry, wouldnt be a good use of my time, but i will say this: indeed it is hard to take in that someone can be so harsh on their judgment over a person they dont really Know! Te types of extensions Amal appears to be wearing seems to be the clip in / clip out, so it takes seconds to do that. Most women shower everyday and get a minimum of make up everyday. YOU are assuming things about Amal that you really, i mean REALLY dont know! How can you prove she spends hours in front of the mirrors choosing outfits? The way she dress and the often fashion faux-pas she commits proves she is not that obsessed. I am not saying she does not spoils herself (she can afford it, not a crime! ), i think that ladies who will spend most time in front of the mirror are the ones who still have to go buy stuff on stores. It seems Amal has bags of that stuff right in her tables. It should take a few minutes to put on what she wears. At least i dont see what is the complication in her outfits. They are only expensive but are very very basic, i can dress like her in less than 45 minutes, or in a half of an hour (if i dont have to blow dry my hair)… maybe not in designer clothing, but i dress as good looking all the same, with heels, jackets, bags, minimum accessories, minimum make-up and the style of clothing she wears. How long do you think it takes to put on that flowery blouse, the jeans and the shoes she had to visit George? 10 minutes here! Her stuff is NOT that exceptional (like Lady Gaga) that needs hard work on dressing up, come on!! Her make up is simple, she does not even wears eye lashes on a daily basis… i mean.. i could go on and on, but i refuse because that asks for more than i came here for on this blog. If anyone feels offended with my comment on this issue, then they should, because sorry… too much speculation without any proven grounds. I am done commenting on this extensions, it takes less time ti clip on than it takes to come here to argue of nonsense criticism, sorry but “each give what they have”.

I am taking off for an ice cream! PEACE in the name of the extensions 😉

      10. I agree with Jon’s comments – I do not know any barrister with a demanding case load who has the time for the degree of pampering in which Amal indulges. They are a hard working bunch! But it is clear that she is quite hands-off from her work at the moment. Maybe it’s just an extended honeymoon phase and she will return to some serious work eventually.

Tolerance is the key indeed, precisely my argument.. that we need to judge less since we only have glimpses of their lives here, not enough to make a big statement out of it :-() But it is all good :),, lest just have a little fun while we can:)

    1. It’s not a big deal, but what proof do you have that she wears extensions? I’m pretty sure she doesn’t. Her hair on these photos is straightened , probably with a flat iron and that always adds about an inch to the length. If you notice in the pics where her hair appears shorter, it’s because it’s slightly curled on the button. It makes a huge difference . I really don’t think she has extensions….

      1. She visited a hair salon specialized in hair extensions before the Golden Globes and when you compare the pictures there is no doubt. As for the lashes.

      2. Like I said onyourface, I don’t care about the extensions – I just think we need to tolerate opinions that aren’t the same as ours. It’s like eating ice cream – my favourite flavour is chocolate and you’re entitled to eat the flavour you like! And I do hope you enjoyed your ice cream! 🙂 It’s cold in New Zealand – not a good time for ice cream, more like a hot cuppa!

      3. Agree ESR, she does seem to have a dearth of work presently – perhaps this is the first break she has taken in a long time, who knows when she last took leave.

In support of your points though (and the points others have made about her possible low income), Kathy Lette, wife of Geoffrey Robertson (Amal’s boss) said: “it’s awful being married to a human rights QC “because they are always working, 24/7, for nothing — my two least favourite words are ‘pro’ and ‘bono’ — and you can never get the moral high ground.”

        [http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/aussie-author-kathy-lette-still-courting-trouble-after-all-these-years-with-quiptastic-feminist-legal-thriller/story-fni0cx12-1227033477680]

Kathy gives lots of interviews and she often refers to her husband being flat chat and not around a lot – most lawyer’s spouses do the same I guess ;P

Can someone explain to me which countries refer to lawyers as ‘solicitors’ vs ‘lawyers’ vs ‘barristers’ etc? It seems to be different across the English speaking Western world. In NZ, she would be a lawyer/solicitor (same thing in NZ), not a barrister. And at university (I think the USA calls university ‘college’), she would be a ‘lecturer’ not a ‘professor’ – she doesn’t have the qualifications to be called a ‘professor’ or ‘barrister’ in NZ. I wonder if the terminology has contributed to some of the over-inflatedness of her achievements.

      4. You can tell she’s wearing extensions by comparing her hair when she recently visited George on set in that floral top, to her hair on March 28 th in the white jumpsuit and yellow gladiators. It’s longer and much thicker with the white jumpsuit.

I think they look nice and would wear them too, on evenings out, if I knew how. She’s done a great job of making it not seem too noticeable.

        Like

      5. I’m still not convinced about the extensions theory. I don’t think she wears them and unless she or her stylist say that she does , I’m sticking with my original hypothesis of when her hair is curled on the bottom , it looks shorter than when it’s blown out straight.

  3. She has worn some gorgeous necklaces before. This is the first time I have seen her without earrings. Hmmm, should we theorize as to why 😉 Seriously, she looks elegant and beautiful and so does he!

      2. in my opinion she score right by not having the earrings with this long an stand-on-its own necklace. I would had done just the same and allow the necklace and the jacket to shine on their own 🙂

        Like

    2. Yes, we should theorize! I think the reason is because there is enough going on with the statement necklace and all the zippers and metal on her jacket. Putting something on the ears would have taken away from the jacket/necklace combo and just looked overdone. Good job. Nice outfit.

      2. If you watch the video that I posted above (and even in the pictures Nati published), it looks like G&A went in the front door of the restaurant and came out the back door. If this is right, it seems a bit silly, to be honest. The paps already knew they were there so why not just walk out the front door?

Check it out….maybe I am wrong….but the front doors of the restaurant are very beautiful and the door they came out from is not.

I actually wonder if Julia Roberts was there at all? I can’t imagine the paps missing her if she were there and exited the building. AC was kissing someone goodbye in the video.

When they first entered, the man they were talking to looks like Grant Heslov but probably was likely the manager of the manager maybe?

I checked out the menu of the restaurant…very good prices….certainly not high end.

    1. I agree. Sometimes I wonder though if he’s meant to have a tired, old look for the scenes he’s doing in the movie – maybe he’s left his day make up on? or maybe he’s sleep depriving himself so he looks tired/more realistic in the movie scenes? A far fetch, maybe. But he is looking very old next to Amal.

      Like

    2. Why the focus on age?? They are obviously in love. He’s older–who cares?? He’s gorgeous and so is Amal but again, does that matter when two people are in love and very attentive to one another?? Amal blooms because she is with the person she loves.

      1. I totally agree tess. And since when do we care for women being with older man? Look at the past actress …celebrities…so many… they were or married older guys. And George is not old…come on…. He is still a catch!! Also, the more we make a big deal out of that, the more society will find it terrible for a older woman to be with a younger man. We certainly dont want that to happens hahah

  5. I think if you take away the amazing clothes and aura of being married to George Clooney, she is rather ordinary looking, definitely not a great beauty at all. Just my humble opinion.

    Like

    1. Well, but then you add the Amazonian model like figure, pretty face , amazing brain, and great sense of style and you’re back to amazing again. Not sure how many “ordinary” women can say they have these attributes.

      Like

    2. I disagree. Take away the clothes and even her marriage to George. She is amazing in her own right. We just never knew about her. Be assured that people in her circle always were drawn to her intelligence, style and that special “it” factor she exudes. She is hardly “ordinary looking”. She is beautiful—-inside and out. Now that’s my humble opinion!!

      Like

      1. Tess, interesting. I think you are right that in her circles people were drawn to her. Men were very attracted to her from the get-go and that she was raised with praise and affection. Leading her to be extremely self-confident. Do you know her?

        Like

      2. No, Emi, I don’t know her but I think intelligence and style give her more beauty than she was already blessed with. I can’t believe someone would call her “ordinary looking”.

        Like

      3. Tess, her professional and academic accomplishments are to be admired and can be quantified. Whether she’s a style icon or whether she’s beautiful is a very subjective opinion. Let’s just say that (I know) that she was very sought after by men in her circle. I don’t believe she’s ordinary looking – she’s striking for sure – a beauty? (that’s in the eye of the beholder). Intelligence, self-assuredness and confidence helps create an aura of attractiveness.

        Like

      4. Not sure how my comment was hate or racist?

I wrote that she was an accomplished woman with an impressive professional resume and that she was striking looking. How could that ever, ever, ever be translated in any language to be hateful or racist? Because I wrote that beauty and style is a subjective opinion? Wow, that is a very hard stretch.

I respect that this is your blog and you can moderate opinions – but you once wrote the blog is open to discussion on her professional life as well. I wanted to focus attention on women who worked hard and found professional success. That is a very very narrow interpretation of hateful and/or racist……

        Like

      5. I also wrote that her attractiveness could be found in her self-assuredness, confidence and general sense of well-being. How is that hateful or racist?

  6. I guess her trend is “breaking the rules” here and there…i kind like that… she mixes leather with more soft textures, delicate laces, silk clutch…it turned out good! Love that she let the necklace stand on its own without wearing earrings.

Well done, even though i personally dislike jackets that hangs too loose on the body, she however, seems to love this kind of jackets.

Now, if i want to bring George into the fire: this jacket does not goes well with these shoes George darling! This suit is too formal and does not belongs with these jeans and shoes. Just saying…but hey, you dont care! That is ok..we are just venting out here:) Dont worry, we are more unforgiving with thy wifee 🙂 xoxo

    1. Well, people have mentioned her chest looks larger in some photos…..who knows, maybe she’s in the early stages of pregnancy. Might also be why her face/forehead is moving and creasing more beautifully again too if she’s withholding using cosmetic stuff.

Personally, I dont think it’s fair for a 7yo child to have a 60 year old father….or for a 17 year old to have a 70 year old father. Now please don’t attack me for saying what most children of older parents would agree with!!!!

      Like

      1. There’s nothing wrong with an older father. My husband will be in his late 40’s (and myself in my late 30’s, perhaps even early 40’s) when we have kids. Fortunately for us, both of us look about 10 years younger than our actual age (although I keep telling people that looks have very little to do with health – plus, I’m pretty sure that whatever youthful appearances we have will fade quite rapidly after the first child is born, as has happened to everyone else I’ve known). Hopefully, we will be able to live and work 10 years longer than average!

One advantage that they have: in George’s and Amal’s case, they are quite wealthy, so they don’t have to worry about financial stresses that come with child rearing. That can really age people.

Amal and I are the same age – I wish her the best, *if* they are trying. It’s a bit more difficult for women to successfully conceive in our age range, but I’ve known many women who have. And, if she’s reading here: don’t get phased by a miscarriage or two. It happens, and if it happens, it’s usually for the best. Just keep trying.

      2. Agree with you to a certain degree, but what if a couple marries late, should they be banned from having kids? besides , they have enough money to hire people to do the dirty work so they can just be loving parents.

        Like

      3. Jon321, I’m simply stating that if they wanted to , they could hire someone to do the dirty work. I personally agree with you and although I work as a doctor, I choose to not hire someone to do my dirty work and I only work part time So that I can be the one raising my kids my way. That being said, they can choose to hire someone to do minor things or a mother’s helper if needed. Simply replying to the other post about them being ” selfish for wanting to raise kids at a later age.”

      1. That’s funny! I thought loving parents did the dirty work Masreya! I’m always surprised at the outsourcing wealthy families do, even of their offspring.

Horses for courses. To each their own. I’ve just seen health problems usually kick in after 50 – arthritis, cardiovascular disease etc etc. It’s just seems harder for older parents to keep up with the energy of little kids and to connect with them when they’re teenagers – my observations of older parents is that they ‘grandparent’ not ‘parent’ and the generational mismatch sometimes cannot be overcome. I’m seeing a lot of older parents in my circle of friends overcompensate with materialistic offerings to their kids to keep them quiet and happy. And I’m seeing older parents taking a lot of ‘short cuts’ in their parenting because of exhaustion eg ‘take the iPad and be quiet while your father and I have dinner at the restaurant’ etc. I just think it’s sad from the kid’s perspective and they miss out because older parents often become too busy/tired/preoccupied/unwell as they get older. But like I said, to each their own.

All the best to you Lady when you have kids! I’m the same age and have 4 – best thing ever!! I’m not beautiful, tall, wealthy or married to an actor – and I do all the dirty work! I love dressing up the one day a week I work and have taken some inspiration from Amal’s wardrobe at times – though I just don’t seem to catch the paparazzi’s attention!

      2. Thanks for your well-wishes, Jon321. I hope that we can have 2. 🙂 Knowing my husband and myself, any kids we have will have very involved parents (especially my husband). I’ve known too many kids from wealthy families who never had much meaningful interaction with their parents, and they usually seem to be pretty deficient in the personality/creativity department, but very narcissistic. A generalization, I know, but some of them are total monsters, even when they grow up.

        Like

      3. That’s impressive Masreya and refreshing to hear. It is inspiring to hear of professional women who raise their own kids, work, cook and clean too. And enjoy fashion!

No, I don’t think it’s ‘selfish’ for people to want to have children at any age – I think it’s beautiful to want to have children – what I do think is that it can be tricky for the child itself to have older parents, and sometimes no amount of money or extra help can ameliorate the generational mismatch for those children – I don’t think older parents see the age gap issues through the same lenses as kids do, is what I’m saying… A 17 year old with a 70 year old father does not experience childhood the same as a 17 year old with a 50 year old father for instance. Anyway, there’s too many variables in parenting to make any sweeping generalisations, and this is a complicated discussion, perhaps best left for a parenting blog! 😉

Is Sony producing it maybe? Is this part of George getting the ‘protection’ he requested from all his bad reviews?

I’m a little confused with what’s going on here. After the Sony hack of his emails, I saw GC in a very different light – the outright request to manipulate his ratings and popularity and the request to make him ‘a success’ followed by the discussion that ensued between Amy and George to ‘make money as revenge’ made for very uncomfortable reading.

    1. @Nadia – Sorry, the message from Nati that said ‘Done’ was meant for me. I had asked her to do me a favor and she was kind enough to help me out.
