Speaking with “Extra’s” AJ Calloway at the SeriousFun Children’s Network gala in New York, Clooney beamed, “I really love my wife. I’m having a great time and I’m very proud of her, couldn’t be more proud of the things she does.”
Clooney hit the red carpet with fellow actor and friend Danny DeVito, and explained Amal’s absence. “She’s trying to get a guy out of prison in Egypt. I think so, so she’s working, she’s got a lot of stuff to do.”
Amal Clooney may have been absent from Monday’s SeriousFun Children’s Network Gala at Avery Fisher Hall, but her husband, George Clooney, still gave her a shout-out from the stage, calling her the “smart one” in their marriage.
George looks very happy and passionate and Amal are so proud of you too, I’m sure.

Yeah…he’s a goner! I notice he enjoys saying “my wife” whenever he can, and I think that’s sweet.

It is sweet to hear how smitten he is with her, and I hope that never changes for them. It kind of restores my faith in love, and lets me hope that maybe I too, could find it at an older age. I am sickened to see all the magazines mentioning their upcoming divorce. I hope the Clooneys keep continuing to prove them wrong on that account!

Please tell Amal Clooney she wants to free up a corrupt former president who is also responsible for thousands of Human Rights abuses..

Thank you for pointing this out. I had no idea about this before you posted your comment, but it appears that Gloria Arroyo does indeed have blood on her hands. So sad.
