      1. I live your blog and all the hard work you put into it. It is one of my great escapes from the real world! Don’t pay attention to the nasty hater because all she wanted was attention that is why she wrote it. I loved the Clooney’s wedding weekend, the clothes and had fun watching. Amal is accomplished professionally and has a great style! Keep up the great work.

  1. Posted this accidentally in another thread and meant to post it here.

George’s PR people are overselling Amal and there has been a huge media backlash against her online and in social media. And even in some reputable mags – e.g. the piece in Time magazine. People are sick of her especially in the UK. Her “legal” work is supposed to be serious – not a fashion parade with her carrying gimmicky handbags. I get that Clooney’s paying for a stylist for her now and seems to have given Amal a credit card to buy luxury clothes and that they want to turn her into a celebrity lawyer. But sadly, the public do not like her. If you want to know where it all went wrong for Amal it’s simple. The 4 day multimillion dollar wedding extravaganza was overkill, too much and alienated people. But the exact moment women turned on her was when she wore that minidress in Venice when she knew she was going to be climbing into boats in front of the paparazzi, giving everyone an eyeful of what only a woman’s husband should be seeing. No self respecting professional lawyer behaves like that. No self respecting woman, period, wears a miniskirt that short in front of a hundred photographers when they are climbing into boats. That’s when Amal revealed herself to be merely an attention seeker. And that’s why women – except for the 7 or so that are on this blog – don’t like her. And sadly for Amal she can never live that moment down. She crossed the line and ceased to be a professional woman and became just another attention seeking WAG to women across the world. I don’t see how she can live that moment down. Amal needs to stop preening for the cameras. Her Greek trip was a PR disaster for herself – good for Greece but bad for Amal. No normal lawyer changes outfits 2 or 3 times a day. She was supposed to be working, not on a royal tour. The woman has extremely poor judgement for someone who is supposed to be smart. She needs to think more about how she is being perceived. And Amal needs to stay out of the spotlight now for at least 3 months. People are sick of her.

    1. While i do like her style, i wish she would stop being such a poser. Like the obligatory hand bag around her forearm and either the keys, coffee, or iphone in the opposite hand. Not natural for a natural beauty… or the two finger thrust back of the hair. I would like to see her normal. I once met GC… and he appeared to be a good guy, pretty down to earth. I thought she wiuld be more private than she is…… oh well.

    3. Please stop spewing your negative, hate-filled comments on multiple posts. This is a blog for fans of Amal’s style. Since you obviously don’t like her, not sure why you’re here.

      1. As a credible host publishing a well designed blog you should exactly post comments such as Traceys, it is a critical remark about public appearance and media perception, so it is a view that adds to the whole picture, don’t censor oppinions like that, they make your site even more interesting.

    4. Most of clothes have nothing to do with George Clooney’s wedding. They are from the past collections. She is accomplished, she looks great and works very hard. She is a good inspiration for me and that is why I begun this website one year ago.

      1. Yours is the only blog on the internet that focuses on Amal’s fashion. It is a unique blog! Please continue doing the creative work you are doing and know that it is much appreciated.

This is a fashion and style blog, not a celebrity gossip blog. If people want to discuss her personality or her marriage or her career, there are gossip websites on the internet. We are here only to discuss her clothes.

I don’t know claidu, while i agree critical comments about her style should be published( i personally didn’t like some of the things amal wore) however i feel comments like tracey’s go further than criticizing her style and into belittling her. There r some crazy haters on other sites, i don’t want them to come to this fun site.

    5. Amal is beautiful, independent, an intelligent woman and those who speak bad of her are jealous people. Sorry my English. Hugs from Rio de Janeiro.

    7. A woman can be smart, serious and successful as well as beautiful, feminine and fashionable. That is what intrigues me about Amal. It’s unfortunate that people like Tracy believe you can’t be beautiful and smart, serious and fashionable. It perpetuates the stereotype that a beautiful woman must be dumb and smart woman must be unattractive. I applaud Amal for being smart, beautiful, making an impact on the world and for having the wedding of her dreams to a man she obviously loves. I hope all young women see her as a role model of what a smart, beautiful, accplished lady can be.

    8. Well, I’m not sick of her. Yes, the four day wedding fashion show was a bit over the top, but it was her wedding, give her a little room.

I love her style, whatever the source. Her work style is professional without being stuffy, and her casual clothes are fun.

Maybe she’ll soon suffer from over exposure, but I think most people still have goodwill for her.

    9. I love Amal more than George I have to say. She is my absolute girl crush! I love this site and I love fashion and I love brilliant women and I am not sick of her at all. Not everyone feels the way you do, especially on this site. I think you picked the wrong blog to get cranky on.

    1. I agree. I’m happy for Amal because she was able to have Oscar design her wedding gown before his passing. He created beautiful style and is a terrible loss in the fashion industry.

  2. Holy cow! Didn’t realize how nasty people can be. I love fashion too and I think Amal has wonderful taste. So what if she becomes a celebrity lawyer? So what if she lives a privileged life? It’s her life. How many people win lotteries and change their lives and live in luxury? The only difference is that she’s in the public eye and is being judged by many anonymous people.
I personally loved her dress and I don’t think it was unbecoming. After all, she was wearing it during her time off work! Maybe she should pose in a bikini to show her fit body. Now wouldn’t that be the behaviour of an attention-seeking WAG?
I have tremendous respect for Amal both for her intelligence and for her new glamourous lifestyle.

  3. I concur with Tracey’s comments. Initially was so excited to peruse this website as her fashion style was unique and she seemed intriguing. The 4 day wedding was too flashy and self-serving. In my opinion, she is too overzealous with the preening and I am no longer intrigued.

  4. I acutally like her fashion style more than Kate Middleton’s. Amal’s clothes are stylish and fresh looking where I find Kate’s a bit more boring and conservative. Haha of course that has to do with Kate’s status as a Duchess, a member of the Royal Family!

    1. I prefer Amal’s styling too. She has more freedom of course, as compared to Kate, but I think what I like about Amal is that she doesn’t wear skin tight clothing very often these days and is more trendy. Her shoes are great and I’m a shoe person so that’s when she first caught my eye last summer. I’m also a fan of George too. I get that not everyone is a fan, but I’m kind of surprised they would seek this blog out to vent about it.

  6. As a lawyer myself, I find Amal’s style, the fact that she wears her hair down and the fact that she feels comfortable in her femininity completely liberating. None of this diminishes her intellect or her obvious academic accomplishments, all of which predates George Clooney. Why are we putting this woman in a box, implying she has to be one thing or another? Given the opportunity, I suspect we might all like to experience walking in those beautiful shoes.

    1. Yes, that’s exactly right – liberating! I work in a conservative job and I find her work style to be inspiring. Watching her style is encouraging me to wear more dresses and fewer stuffy suits. She looks great AND professional.

  8. I’m so glad for Amal that she had the opportunity to meet with such a wonderful designer like Oscar de la Renta! He designed such a beautifully elegant wedding gown for her and the shoes are equally breathtaking!
It’s being reported that Amal’s gown was the last wedding gown he created/designed. Oscar de la Renta was such a fashion icon! 🙂

  10. I agree with the all the positive comments about Amal. Amal was an accomplished, recognized lawyer before meeting George Clooney. Most of us became exposed to her because of George Clooney but she was successful pre-Clooney. The weekend wedding was her weekend to show her character and be herself. Tracy: Whether you agree or disagree with the length of her skirts, is your choice. But, as a female speaking about another female, why are you putting her down? I think we as women can be our worst enemies. She is smart, but why can’t she also be attractive and be expressive of her character through her clothing. Why can’t she be sexy and smart. After all it was her wedding, why shouldn’t she be uninhibited?? It’s the one time to be selfish and do things your way. She looked very professional in Greece and other photos I have seen of her while working. Why don’t we stand behind an incredibly brilliant, accomplished lawyer who met the love of her life, who happens to be a wealthy actor. Lucky her!!!

    1. Agrie with you, Summer. Amal has BRAIN and BEAUTY. Both were sooooo obvious in Venice, during her wedding weekend. Gianbatista dress, or better to say ‘peace of art’ was BINGO for the place (Venice) and the person (a bar with a looot of brain and good figure). Just to remind Tracy, VENICE IS THE PLACE FOR ART, BEAUTY AND EXTRAVAGANZA. No better place to walk in that short, lacy, romantic and still modern Gianbatista’s peace of art, than Venice.
