Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney finalized their union with a civil ceremony in Venice, Italy, today afternoon. The couple arrived at the municipal building at 1:25 p.m. local time. George Clooney, wearing a two-piece gray suit, and Amal Alamuddin, wearing a cream pantsuit and a matching hat, waved to well wishers who were gathered outside. A local politician escorted them inside the building to sign the marriage papers. They emerged 10 minutes later and looked ecstatic as they held hands and kissed. The couple got in the boat and went up the canal slowly, with paparazzi in tow and police boats leading the way.
Amal was so classy and elegant. 🙂

She looks so lovely, and thanks so much for having this blog. I have enormous respect for her, with or without Clooney, and to see her in a totally different style-mode than his other girlfriends has been a real treat. And she’ll make him a better man, too! At times I think she picks out all her own clothes, her looks can be so quirky. I say this as a plus.
Again, thanks for giving us the pleasure of a place to go to enjoy the style and obvious happiness of this remarkable women. She’s a class act.

Im in love with what she wore for the civil ceremony. It takes a strong,confident woman who is sure with herself to wear that. It also has an old Hollywood feel to it, I think of Sophia Loren. Amal’s mind, beauty and inner soul is truly in my opinion someone to watch. I see her (I hope) dealing with humanity issues, politics, and of course us women who want to see her grow also see what she is wearing.
